kasp, you should sketch in pencil then outline in marker it will look alot cleaner.

The only good letter you got is the A, and its decent at best. Just go even simpler and try it. Or a different name that doesn't have letters where parts of the letter overlap (your k and P have a line inside of the letter).

But he's trying to get you to focus on having a solid foundation of each individual letter. Then you can overlap. Because some of the proportions are a little off, like the letters are kinda' tweaked because you never actually draw the whole letter. So it looks funky. Like they're pushing over onto the next letter and squishing it, instead of just overlapping.

Change these since you have negative space in other parts of your letters, just make them all separate and not touch. You get what I mean?

The top part of the K looks weird, since the right arm cuts of the line going up. Here, I drew your name real quick. I suck at S's and the P is too small on mine, so just pretty much focus on how the letter structure is set up:

Then make it symmetrical. And none taken, quick sketch.

By the way, by symmetrical, I mean don't have the top of the K be closed, and the bottom open. The K on your keyboard is symmetrical right in the middle (horizontally) so try to make them both either open or closed, but with different traits (extension on the bottom like you have).
