First one is my first attempt at fading and i really dont like outline on the second one. Any tips on fades, outlines, and keeping letters the same size welcome. All crtiz are welcome too.
Hahaha this makes me feel better. For fades you gotta fuck with it, I usually just try and hold the can at a crazy angle and get slowly farther away and apart between strokes. Figure the other two out your own self that shouldn't need to be taught. Finally got outta the house, should've gotten some better colors instead of just taking whatever was in my bag. props to rasek and aeso for also making stuff that at least looks like it's on its way to being graffiti
fuck hip i still love your r's thats a tight throw though, the bottoms of the letters could be bigger in my opinion
Everyone on this page needs more practice. Including me. Find a chill spot to work with your can control then start hitting and posting it.
It looks like for both of your pieces you did, you filled your piece with one color and went over it with another. Dont do that, it wastes paint, after you lay down your font draw a horizontal line threw your font where you want the fill to be. Fill the bottom color then fill in the top with the two different colors. then you can chose which one you want to fade. Now when you pick that color if your using the old valspar cans or any ironlak, montana, etc. change the cap to a fatter cap, but you probly just using rusto. IF your using rusto its no problem, the fat cap just comes out a little better. Once your can is ready hold your can on like a 45 degree angle. When you go up to spray dont stand so close to it, give it a little space, you will find out what is the best distance to do fading over time. For keeping your letters the same size, sketch it out first on the wall with white paint, i use dollar paint with a vegan cap. If your letters are still not the same size draw a big ol rectangle and block it out into 4 blocks, and add your letters into them. I dont think i need to tell you how to outline, its pretty obvious.
