Nice posters Cezr i'm really liking your stuff. The other day I found some old wrapping paper lying around it's only glossy on one side and the other side feels like normal paper. It stays up heaps good and you can make some big ass posters. Just thought i'd put it out there? Hopefully have some flicks up soon when i can be bothered to take some photos.
If your wheat paste doesn't quite clear up you could always tell the cop that it's jizz. if it's still a bit warm you could even tell the cop that it's fresh.
i was pastin a couple days ago and the next day i saw the poster i put up a few feet away completely in tact,, i figured somebody took it off before it dried,, any body got recipes to make wheat paste dry quicker?
in an abandoned steel factory one of my new stencils Oh and a tip - I just started using Shur Stik C15 cellulose powder. Buy it at the hardware store. Mix with cold water and you're good to go. Sticks way better than any wheatpaste recipe I've ever tried, and there's no cooking involved.
Hey im having dificulty with timing and wheatpasting. Is there a way to efficiently put up the paste and poster without it taking forever? i wwas thinking just putting it in a sports bottle and squirting it on the wall. also How many of you have used specialty sticker paper from staples. its basically computer paper but the back is adhesive, its mainly for businesses and stuff. i love it because i can do all my designs on there like with my wheatpastes and a couple layers of clearcoat to make sure it doesnt fade...
I was just going to buy some of that sticker paper today but I didn't because it was like $13 for 10 sheets and I'm broke. But yeah I want to get some, just need to find a cheaper place to buy it. This is the most effective/efficient technique I've found: Brush paste on wall Put paper face down on top of paste, brush the back of it flip paper over and brush top, smooth down air bubbles with a wallpaper scraper thingy (or your hand, whatever - but the scraper really works well.
thanks man. and yeah, it was $8 for 30 sheets at staples, so i guess it higher where your at. one of the problems i have carrying the brush and the wheatpaste and all that is very difficult. i live in a small town, and the cops find anyone with a backpack suspicious, so i have to rely on keeping everyhing under my hoody. im gonna see if they have any mini brushes at ACE
yesterday somebody suggested I make a really watery paste and use a spray bottle. I dunno how good that would work but you could try it and see...
All that really isn't neccesary if you're trying to go ninja. Don't bother using a brush. It takes longer and it's one more thing to carry. Just use your hands and bring some paper towels to wipe off with. Get one of the 54 ounce soda cups from the gas station. Fill it with paste. When you're walking down the street, you just look like you're carrying a soda. Fold up all the posters you're bringing and stuff them in your hoody or pants. There. You could put up 4 3ft x 3ft posters without looking the least bit suspiscious..
Prisoner of War Just went up last Friday approx 7 ft tall playing cards by Ninja9ine. Big props for helping me put this up.
