i completly misunderstand. what i heard was nothing special. produced well and sounded well put together. but nothing id ever want to listen to. lack of anything interesting, anything unique, any talent..
Yeah, I know what you're saying for sure. Seems like a lot of the dubstep being produced right now is real hit or miss for me. The only stuff I'm really into right now is producers from Bristol (ie: Joker, Gemmy, Guido, etc.), Bassnectar, Sukh Knight, and Widdler. Not much else catching my eye atm, although the genre seems to be exploding with productions left and right.
you just read that james blake doesnt have any special talent. hes boring. what am i not hearing in this that is worth listening to?
Just out of curiosity, what producers would you say ARE something special? Because personally, and i know MANY others agree, that James Blake creates genuinely soulful, interesting, unique music, that has an awesome vibe to it, and is much much more creative than what a LOT of recent producers are bringing out, and is considerable 'something special'. If you don't like it, okay that's your opinion, you are entitled to believe what you want, but to say he lacks any talent at all is just plain ludicrous. i give it to you, chill to vibe to i guess. it is unique. hes creative.. but i dont like it. i guess its just my taste. he has more talent than me ha ha. i just dont hear whats appealing. but i guess im alone on that. stop what your doing is pretty ok. the rest doesnt appeal to me at all. as far as dubstep goes i like datsik downlink vaski smilodon excision 16bit. i guess thats all pretty much the same style of dubstep too.
i think its awesome that this genre is exploding and goin in so many different directions. its really cool to see where some people creativity takes them.
