jokz, i like everything except the right side, it's just too plain. the hearts are cool though here's a four layer stencil, shitty background but i needed something dabbling with the newspaper background a little..
not finished. need to make the billboard look more like a billboard. both backgrounds are purple. they look blue here.
I don't see anything I wouldn't put up on a wall, everythings really good guys - I think i'll have a bash!
thanks walls. Hoping to have a couple up at this local gallery soon. I'll post up some more soon. Well it's offical. Both city ones will be in a show starting friday. Any ideas on how much to charge for them?
hmm $50-90, I think they woulda looked cooler with out the citys... or even more if you woulda done the citys first... I have an idea in mind...
Thanks guys. Rib: I do a lot of stuff like that without stuff over them like that. I was just playing with the idea and the guys having the show seemed to like them. I plan on doing a couple more before hand. now as far as going the buildings first... they are black and I used a black background. How should I go about it?
It looks like you used a purple bg... but do a blue sky/bg, and then do the buildings in black or whatever color. Im assuming the bg design was a stencil, so put the stencil on last and spray it normal and once you start getting to the buildings start getting farther away with the can and fade it into a mist. It will make it almost look like its snowing in that design. And after you remove the stencil get really far back and just get some light spray to fill in areas that dont look right...Thats how I would do it anyways... @block Thats not finsihed is it? Its plain, and unoriginal, what do you want crits on?
I had to read that a couple times to understand it, but I am tracking now. I like that idea a lot. I did black over the whole canvas, then did a purple fade, sprayed the stencil, then splattered white over it. I then covered the back ground with stickers untill I had the shapes of the buildings at the bottom the way I wanted then sprayed black to make the buildings then used paint markers to do the windows etc.
