all shot with a Sony DSC-W80; currently saving up for a Nikon D40 slr. (sorry if the pictures are big.)
I like the idea, but she's way too super crisp. you can see everything, the veins kind of bother me. That's why I propose you go and buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-135mm-Softfocus-Telephoto-Cameras/dp/B00009R6WK
Driving tonight I was driving through Toledo, OH (USA) and saw this cool bridge. Thought I'd grab a pic of it for ya. Thought it was a neat shot.

Am i seeing what I'm seeing? 5D mark ii for $1,600?? Too good to be true? http://www.kv-cameras.com/canon-eos-5d-mk-ii-body-only?
Not only is the price worrying, but also the fact that it shows a photo of a 5d mk1 and not a mk2. I would never buy a camera parallel imported there's just too much at stake if you end up with a faulty example.
Erm, just wondering, could someone give me a heads up on some good slr's around the 300-400 range? just started photography and don't really know much :S I'll post some pics up later
Ya I read the K-x is a really good starter camera. As far as I know, you will have to buy K mount for your lens if it isn't a Pentax lens.

Could i get an opinion? Should i go for a Nikon D3000 or a D40? Please give me your reasoning on whichever you think.
i have a d3000, its a great camera in my opinion, ive never used a d40 so im not too sure, but i can tell you the d3000 is a nice camera.
ive used my mats d3000 and my d40x...they are very similiar...and do the same job...i would prob go fo the d3000 as it has a focus motor built in...unless im going mad...
