Pose picked the winners of this battle...
1st Place:GRIEK

Comment: This is one sketch I just continued coming back to- i think because of the thick clean graphic look, with a nice varying line weight it has. That, and the fact that the letters have a nice legible funk to them. As far as constructive criticism goes, I would say to me the first 2 letters are your strongest and most dynamic. If this was something you were going to paint i would re- work the "s" and the "m". Maybe give the "s" a different bottom half to keep it from looking to similar to the top, or even weight the top heavier, as well as tweaking the "m" a little to get a punchier end point.
2nd Place:SORIE 420
Comment: I like the simplicity and pop of the letter structure, as well as the diamond shape the letters create as a whole, and the simple accent extensions and bits. The one thing I would say would be to possibly tone down what's going on outside of the letters, and in the 3d, so as not to take away from the letters. Subtle background clouds, chips or boarders would accent a piece like this well.
3rd Place:IN CAN DESCENT
Comment: I think letters and general flow are pretty solid and look good. It would be cool to see a verticle bar to the left of your "D"instead of one that kicks into the right- it might give it a good "jumping off point" that would be a juxtapozition with the rest of the flow... Basically something to make the "D" stronger, or even more visually dominant.
