I had 4 15' inch Rockford Fosgate punch Bumping with 3 Rockford Fosgate P1000W You would be suprised how many car audio places throw out good stuff. Sold it all about a week or two ago, for $2,000. Im looking into getting 2 12' inch Solo X's, the bitches are hard to find.
it doesn't make them weak but it reduces sound quality in many ways.. if you don't insulate everything just begins to rattle.. and in many cases, sounds like absolute shit.
does anyone here have a 2006 volvo s40 or any of the newer volvos with the thin radio? im trying to get some subs hooked up and the place said i may not be able to do it cause the way the radio is in this car. just wondering if anyone knows

just picked up a new amp... 2400 monoblock.. for like 130. now bumpin 2 12" Blaupunkts the old amp i had was fuckin ghetto style... chek it.. a 400 watt kenwood 2/3/4 channel stereo amp.. had HPF and LPF so i had it on the low pass... each sub is 1200 watts.. so i was bumping a 2400 watt system with a 400 watt stereo amp.. but thats not even the ghetto part.. i hook it up to a 400 watt power converter that was plugged into the cig lighter.. so everytime i turned the car off, i unplugged it from the cig lighter lol now i got the 2400watt bumpin the blauplunkts and the old 400 watt kenwood bumpin the door speakers [240watt pioneers] all hooked up by the one and only but god damn were those door speakers a bitch. about 3 hours for installation

expeditions are one of the best vehicles to do audio in. if i were you i would put in two 15's in a ported box *or four, if you have the money. you already have the space available.
now i'm not trying to knock you/talk shit. but i highly doubt you were pushing 2400 rms. and a 2400 watt amp for 130 bucks? again, doubt it. ************ dont know if i posted these. ^just got my hands on this. pics up soon new fosgate signal cable

naw, real talk, i was bumpin the 2400 with a 400 watt kenwood.. but the converter that the amp was plugged into was a 400 watt conveter.. so techinically it was 800 watts. but a ghetto ass 800 watts. i had to plug it into the conveter cuz the amp wasnt getting enough juice from my weak ass battery and i picked up the 2400 monoblock at the swap shop... it not a name brand amp.. like kicker or kenwood, or JL or anything like that.. some japanese brand plus i got a little hook up lol

I honestly dont know anything about subs, but has anyone ever heard of treo? Everyone I went to highschool with had them.
