I mean there is nothing 'dub' about it, it just sounds like bad drum and bass with a 2 step beat. Most of the american stuff I hear with exceptions sounds like this. Compare that 16-bit shit you listen to to mala, kode9 etc. Very different.

My bad, same sorta vibe though. I guess I like the darker side of dubstep, and the more dub influenced, rather than the 'club bangers' if you know what I mean.

im not sure as to what producers your talkin about, and ive not listened to dubstep.fm before.....however, its clear u dont like all subgenres of dubstep.....doesnt mean all producers need produce to satisty your opinions..just move on if it doesnt rub u right, no need to bash it cause ur close-minded
Yea I know what you mean. The club bangers are certainly more influenced by hip-hop and dance than by dub. But I find that a majority of the stuff played on dubstep.fm is actually the more classic dub style. Of course it has both types thrown in, but I definitely hear a lot of good classic stuff coming through as well. Also depends on who the DJ is that's spinning for the show though. Can be hit or miss depending on what you like Thanks for the heads up on the Shambhala mix Kabre!
huge sick disgusting ups on that Sham 09 mix. mind = blown. and on the DS.DM topic, its a very verictail station, you just gotta find a dj that plays the stuff you like. i personally bangers or super chill style stuff im still gunna jam to it.
I hardly ever do, everytime I tune in, I hear the same sorta shit, it all sounds the same to me. and borg, grab a tissue bro I wasn't hating on anything just stating an opinion. and i gave you examples, compare work from say, shock1, to work from mala. I'm not generalising here, some artists that I usually hate definately bring out some good shit. But What gets to me is the same thing that happened to drum and bass. Started off from jamaican influenced jungle shit, then it deteriorated into just loud noisy basslines and the saaaaame drum pattern on every song. drum and bass used to be about the drum patterns, now the drums are completely ignored. Same with dubstep, its all just loud head bang shit nowadays, it's lost it's dark dubby element it started out with. This is what I reckon. Dark wobble tracks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bZSeJlrxyc are my thing, and are very different to that black sun empire drum and bass crossover 'dubstep' shit. those tracks that get posted in here may be heavy but they don't have that sick dark mood to them. ramble ramble
dno if its strictly dubstep but anyone got/know of any sets with Ganja in my brain by Ras Matthew in? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rycmiXPQjcA&feature=related
bump this badass mofo! and yes MORE BANGERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! North American Dubstep FTMFW.
