Yeah, that beast is serious. That is what you need, if you only have one shot left and you have to get it perfect.

Not sure about the house thing. They shot that on a 5d because of the lack of space where they were shooting, not sure it makes sense to bring a huge tripod in. Not saying they didn't use one, just seems a bit overboard for where they were shooting. Those tripods are used usually for video cameras, not dslr's. They're meant for really heavy cameras with big lenses.
got 11 portraits today. i was surprised at how many people were offended that some goofy kid would ask to take their picture. i was being polite as hell too. heres 3, unedited, i think might convert them all to b&w when i have as many as i need. So here are those test shots. I have a Senior photo shoot tomorrow and I plan on using this lens most of the time. "DAT GLASS" is right, holy fuck. That tripod is wicked.
wanna go ahead and send that girl over my way? yea? awesome. va: I'd scratch that first one if I were you, that scuplture in the background is super distracting.
i agree with you, i especially dont like the part just to that right of his head, but i think if i have enough of these then things like that wont matter much.
Thats exactly it, being polite doesn't do it. You gotta be quite forceful and be already raising your arm before they even know whats hit them and once you've got the shot, then you become polite! (Or completely ignore them and keep walking.) It really helps to approach people and compliment them on a feature of their overall look, "thats a great beard you got there, let me take your portrait?" Etc etc. You gotta be quite fast and don't give them an option of getting out of it. Street photographers have got to be pretty rude I reckon. Just ask Bruce Gilden.
it was taken at around.. 5 oclock, but in england now its getting really dark really fast, it was litterally night time, but i exposed it so it almost looked like full day time One i took today
