I'de dont really use either very often so ide prob say pilots. Flowpens leak waaaay to much and I really hate loseing ink cause its leaking everywhere. Pilots are mehhh.

I preffer just useing kiwi mops with ghetto krink. Even though those leak too I just like the grimeyness of tags that drip down to the floor. Even though you gotta carry them in a ziplock bag

As for taking out the cotton and filling it with garvey.. taking candel wax and dripping it hot over the edges on both sides of the seal where the nib is should work, that or super glue h34r:

Anyone got a tutorial on just using the shell of a pilot for a homemade marker? like i said in an earlier post it broke on me, all i have is the shell.

 

u should try reading over some things in homemade markers. it may not have n e 1 thing about the pilot but their are similar pens that can can b modded and which should b able to work for the pilot also.

 

take out cottton
put in ghetto krink
put in chalk board eraser felt
tape
glue as for a cap i dunno figure that out yourself

I like both, Pilot looks so cleannnn on a surface but Flowpens kill it
they look good with colors
Nib for pilot is better, however

you cant rele compare pilot and flowpen b/c they are both great in thier own way its like apples and oranges

 

this is a little off topic but i have a mini otr flowpen, and the nib got really smushed and it seems like it goes into the marker and stays more. i can't order another nib, and i dunno but i've had a load of problems with the damn thing. like i open it and ink just pours out when you unscrew it. and it just sorta comes apart, and it doesn't drip very well... i think next time i'll just stick to a zig...

is there anything i can do to fix the nib?

flowpens are so easy to buff, i poured acetone on it and it cake right off without rubbing

 

i always thought pilots where like sharpie magnums or somthing, ive never seen them any where here, ive looked
