The trick really scratches it in deeper. Especially if they're scrubbing like hell. I was watching this one dude trying to buff a tag i had just done and he couldn't get it off! It's faded as hell but still kinda there.....

I've never used etch. Don't know much about it, couldn't tell you a thing...
I assumed there's an etch thread....

    I'll go there....

My artline 20mm works great on glass. the ink, while water based, doesn't fade at all. it's probably not too hard to buff, but it works for me, because they dont buff ANYTHING around here.

how to write on glass, the easy and the cheap way: take a pilot marker, then buy a refill for it( i got black of course) overfill it jsut a bit, and go writing, its perfect for those who want a drippy ass bold tag. the overfilled pilot also works for every other surface

are you using philips head or flat? flats work better. the all city book tells you how to make scratchies. theres an online version and im sure you could find it if you searched

any kind of sharpie or flowpen type of stuff.

-and i was thinking this up..has anyone ever tried it or seen it?---
+take a window marker that the soccer moms use for their cars and tag a window, then paint over it w/ black or whatever color of krylon/ montana..just a few swipes to cover the marker.. then when someone tries to wash it off, the window marker will wash off and the spray will stay..maybe... i was just thinkin' at school and thought that might look pretty unique

I don't see how crayons would work. A simple straight blade razor would take that right off the window/glass.
