i rock the quicklatch did i mention it was free with the trade in of my old resp jsut becasue of that shop is the only palce that sells the quicklatch filters so they jsut let you trade it in straight up
the home depto near me sells 3M ones for 27bux, and theyre in the paint isle so mt guess is they filter out aresol. but im too lazy to go out and buy it
my auto body teacher got me one for 10 since they cut a deal with the school. the filters come in different types, some are to filter out things like car paint additives and others are for aresol. the white disposable ones are used for dust so those don't filter out shit. just save your pennys and get a 3m. occasionally you'll have to replace the filters and you know when its time becase the filters will start to get paint on them.
i would say what ever u feel is the best for u but try and get one were u know u can find new filters if u need to buy them like go to home depot or rona or some shiat like that..
What about doctor "TB" masks... They block against air borne Tuberculosis, do they block against aersol, cause i been using them and they seem to work great... or am i just brinigng in the fumes and they get trapped in the mask just intensifying? Let me know what u think!
tuberculosis germs are NOT hazardous paint fumes! and you are right you are trapping fumes in them. if you can smell the paint. then you arent using the right respirator. i personally use a 3m, as you see in my avatar, its the 3m6001 i think. it works perfectly fine for me.
Ok so im gonna probly invest in a respirator...a good one, and am wondering how ofter cartridges need to be replaced.... rough estimate saying that u paint weekly. Thanks
hmm, i have an old full face gas mask that still works. would that filter out aresol if i get a new filter can for it?
i got a respirator today its pretty bad but the filters only filter "paint mist" is this good or no???
i had a resp. a 3m i think but i turned it into a 2x bowl full face pipe. It rips pretty hard, so i think its a fair tradeoff.
