I write Bort LSD, I’m from the east side of Toronto. I started out painting in scrappy little neighbourhood crews in the early 2000s but I’ve been painting seriously since 2013.

My influences come from all over the place; sugar cereal boxes, kids menus and tractor-trailer logos but as far as graffiti writers go it’s hard to be from Toronto and not mention HSA crew, Sight, Causr and Trik. That’s the stuff I grew up being blown away by. I’m really fortunate though to have come up writing with the LSD guys, they’re the biggest reason I paint, who I look to for influence and they’ve helped me progress from day one.

My style is an amalgamation of all these different hobbies and interests in my life, I get colour inspiration from classic motorcycle paint jobs, characters from comic books, dungeons and dragons manuals and Ralph Bakshi movies.

People who have painted with me will agree that my process is a little bit like the Wet Bandits in Home Alone. I set up all my cans, trip over them and then roll around barefoot in the mud until somehow my piece gets finished
