It’s hard to say how long I’ve been painting, I first picked up a can when I was about 15 I think. I grew up in Brentford in deep West London and used to explore and tag the many derelict buildings through my teenage years. I misspent my youth skateboarding along the Southbank in London and graffiti always went hand in hand. I got put in GOT crew about 6 years ago and once I had people to write with, it became an addiction. The girls in the crew are my best friends, partners in crime and a constant source of inspiration.
I’m completely obsessed with letters, and constantly striving for the right balance between aggressive rawness, and sophisticated elegance. I don’t usually sketch – I find its easier to throw it up straight on to the wall, but I experiment with different pens and calligraphic styles in my blackbooks. In terms of style I love a bit of glitch art and vaporwave
There are so many artists I rate highly, but most notable are:
- Faust (and Sure RIP) (NY) for his immaculate, incomparable handstyle
- MadC (DE) for her inspiring attitude towards the gender bias in the graffiti world
- Peeta (IT) for his elegant palette and tactile shapes
- GoldPeg (UK) for her incredible spots, upness and anonymity
- Brus (IT) for the panels he was knocking out a few years ago
- Aroe (UK) for his insane quality on steel, as well as Razor, Round, Mecro, Taste
- Aches as his designs and execution are levels beyond
