Hey, first things first, thanks for reaching out to do this! I write Cita. I’m based in NJ right now. I’ve been tagging since I was a teen, but started trying my hand at pieces and getting more serious about painting about 5 years ago. I love the satisfaction of pulling off a clean piece but I also love the thrill of street bombing and everything that comes with that. My style is very west-coast inspired (where I grew up); I mess mostly with cursive and old English styles. I do a lot of fonts, too. But, I do dabble in other styles. Most of the time, I hit the wall without a sketch or plan and just figure it out as I go. And 9 times out of 10 I’m using Rusto or scrap cans, whatever I can get my hands on really. I keep to myself and roll doly often but I love the shit out of my friends that I paint with; they’re my crimeys and they make all the BS that comes with this game worth it. My biggest inspirations in graff are my friends because they get up without taking shortcuts and they work hard for their spots. They’re out here bombing on foot patrol, rain snow or shine, doing their own fills, often alone, no excuses. Real graff shit.
I don’t know where I’m going with this graff stuff really, I just know I can’t ever stop and it keeps me from doing even dumber stuff lol. I hope to continue getting my skills up and have a good time doing it.
