Let’s start with my intro, I am a graffiti artist as well as an illustrator based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. CLOAKWORK is basically separated into two parts; ‘cloak’ and ‘work’. Cloak means hidden, stealth and cloaking while work stands for movement. I often do graffiti at night without being noticed. So it goes like this : plain concrete wall during the day, the wall gets ‘cloakwork-ed’ during the night and a colourful graffiti the day after.
To the year of 2018, I have been painting around 7-8 years. This year, I tried create some balance between character and letter in a piece, and continuously hunting for fresh concrete walls around the city. Lately I been developing this playful style in a series of personal pieces; showcasing whimsical background, distinctive characters and letters.
I have always look up to The Weirds crew! I love them experiment with different shapes and colors.
