Originally I’m from Victoria B.C. I started writing DYCE / DYSE in late 1999 early 2000.

Currently I’m based out of Vancouver but have also called Toronto home.

The lack of internet when I was coming up led me to look at established writers from the west coast of Canada for inspiration. Many of which no longer spray, and frankly there are far to many to mention them all.

Some notable names that still stick out in my mind are. Sight, Kwest, Stelth, Sper, Jet, Hype, Enter, Efect, Ghost, Dr. Derfer, Tars, Virus, Karma, Plus, Adept, Cameo, Kaput, Remio and Oaph. When I would come over to Vancouver he always had the craziest spots.

I would describe my style as a bit strange, simple but funky. Its rooted in classic traditional fundamentals with a twist. I like to use simple but unorthodox connections. The funk comes from the structure and angles of the letter. Not from unnecessary add-on’s and doodads. that said I love a good loop-dee-loop, spiral and arrow. My tag and throwup I see as very simple and classic, but I have been known to be wrong on occasion.

The writers that I admire today are either in my crew or are close friends. I feel that inspiration should always come from people I break bread with, love and respect. So Basically all of KPS crew BASTARDS and lots of the boys from LSD. Which are all Toronto based crews. Currently my favorite writers are Fario and Paces. They are funky original and flex all aspects of graffiti.

RASPER and DERFER FOREVER…….
