Photographer @teetonka has been documenting Bay Area graffiti culture throughout the last decade. Lucid dreaming through the lens of fine art composition, their photographic style is both contemporary and nostalgic. Through minimalist and naturalist engagement @teetonka illuminates the raw backgrounds of the Bay Area’s urban fringe culture. Their current projects interloping the transient nature of freight graffiti captures the intersection of communication between traditional graffiti, hobo railroad culture, late stage capitalism and police brutality. Focused on film photography, @teetonka brings a unique individual voice to the pieces captured prioritizing simplicity, originality and above all, honesty.
