I write Genes, i have 21 years old and actually im studying graphic design.

I began drawing graffiti into 2006, when i was 9 years old. On my way from home to school I discovered all these awesome things happening with the walls and just feel admiration for those who made it… they didnt care about anything; they exposed themselves and with time I notice that the “rebel factor” about graffiti, which is what brought me to it initially in. Since then I knew and I know that graffiti was not gonna be just like another stage, it was gonna be, and it is, a big part of my history. Was not till 2015, when i get more serious and began producing pieces because i already had some kind of foundation from all the years of drawing on paper.

I live my life through graffiti lenses and there is no way back… its a part of me and im a part of him. For me im all about legacy and what i can give to the graffiti community.

My style is a classic and like i called it ‘simple-complex’ style, solid, doodads, less is more and all that things. Had been doing a lot of exchanges stuff so that has givin me a broader view in terms of style understanding. Im not into 30 colors burners by now (maybe in the future?), i feel like in this stage i need to put all my efforts into understanding the “implicit lenguage of letters and lines” and i think that a simple, great letter foundation, 2 color piece is gonna be always standing above a 30 color piece with no letter foundation at all… but graffiti is free, just be sure to have fun!!

I come from a small city south of Chile called Chillán. I represent Pintarte Crew, OG crew from my city (much love to all the guys!) and they all had been a big part of this, feel so grateful. In terms of the graffiti scene now, there are some youngstas out (not many, i think that i can count them with the fingers of my hand) and some of them with very good talent! Time will tell… Like some OGs had told me: “each one, teach one”, talent is anything without putting in the work i believe!!!

Inspiration for me is taking something that is already done and do it better. All in graffiti has been done before and all what it is ” brand new” its just an extension of what some kids did in the trains years before. There are so many names but just to tell a few: From my country would be Fisek, Hesao, guys like Aislaps, Black33, Brako and some others they are also doing great graffiti stuff; worldwide would be Bates, Dondi, Seen, Rime, Ces, Jurne, Ghost, Ewok, Mast, Geser, Askew, Stae2, Kems, Dust, Gemeos, Bacon, Soten… so many other names but at the end i think that everyone with great classic foundation on letters can be a source of inspiration and also every great person that i had and im gonna meet in my life can be a big source of inspiration!!

A big shoutout to all my people and especially to all Pintarte crew representing!!!
