ive got a bunch of TiO2.. haven't used it yet. Probably because I was all excited to make ink with it but then discovered that its insoluble in alcohol after I bought it.

Rogue, Biz, either of you have any recipes which use Titanium Dioxide?

TiO2 is in pretty much anything needs to be white or opaque. We're talking everything from Toothpaste to Cat Litter.
And yes, it is the ingredient used to make white paint.

To vagrant : nopey, its AN ingredient.. theres many.. srew it if your looking for easeyer avalability.. i could teach you some, but theres no point unless your looking to do it exact method.

throw away the Ti02, unless your willing to order everything i tell you off the internet, certain unconvential solvents, catylists and emulsifiers. you have Pigment white 6, get some Pigment white 4 (Zinc Monoxide, sometimes called zinc oxide and french zinc white) which is far more easy to mix with.

And to the alien guy, yes, they will, but spread them out to remove all redidue, or even microfilter/filterpaper if neccesery. depending on how much you have, it should be fine, because concentration in water is very low, and you wont be able to saturate it.

If im right, its a nirto tar based ink (mr black) but, thats a hydrocarbon based ink, i hightly doubt that this is the same base (but not tar) im presuming is is similar to the mr silver, which is most likely a xylene based paint... (or similar) there is only a slim chance it is an ink, i can tell by the way it coats the bottle...

what form of pigment did you add to it?

that's a good idea but violet is a pretty easy color to make with pen ink. You should try to get a color that's hard to make as an ink like orange or green maybe.
