Anyways, messing with my handie some more. [Broken External Image]:http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/8225/page2page1np6.th.jpg
Hey guys. Just joined the forums. And I just recently decided that I wanted to write. So, I've been working on a tag for about 3 or 4 days. Obviously not very long. What do you all think so far? Any tips/suggestions? And as for the name, I won't be changing for a while, if ever. The word "Milk" is significant to me. I don't need your input on my name. I just need it on how I write it. Lastly, please tell me you've never heard of anyone that writes Milk? :[ Here it is: [Broken External Image]:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/historical/Graf/Milk.jpg
haha, no problem I think I have the whole speech nailed down now. Kinda buzzed... anyways... Take the letters right off you keyboard. Carefully write out these "simples" nice and clean in a straight line. Bam, first simple tag. (It sucks, dont actually write this on walls.) Now you grab a page of lined loose leaf and write it out over and over again and pay careful attention to the strokes you use to create each letter. Once you begin to understand this you start bending these strokes gently until you find something new that is like the simples you started with. Something new but still nice and simple. Now you keep repeating this process over and over, slowly bending the letters, learning the shape that makes the letter what it is, how to bend it and keep it a letter, how to add yourself to it without taking away from its personal form. As you progress over months or years your letters will go wild, you'll keep adding your personal flair to them while respecting there natural shape. You will fuck up, your not perfect, and people will hate on you for any reason legit or not. But thats the process, you keep going and going, learning and learning, ext. Whatever, hope that helps. I'm going to bed. bumpity bump. Critz, critz, critz please.
For MILK sort your K out and take off the arrow and dont do those flicks on the end of each letter. and please dont do the quote marks on each end of the tag. just one add on maybe. Hope this helps bud
Give critz, advice, or opinions to get critz, advice, or opinions.... My bad milk, I didnt quite get your post last night. Keep the M-i-l, ditch the wack K, loose the underline and the tear drop. keep working the Mil oneliner but find a new K. Keep it looking cursive for now then advance it later on down the road. Yarble, make it level and straight. looks a little everywere.
Okay, I got something new. I think it's better, but still not too graet. But in my opinion, definitely an improvement. I'll post it later. So check back guys. Thanks for the advice though.
Okay...well, it's not as clean, but it's definitely different.... I just can't help this urge to do something funky with my "k". Should I fight this urge? And I wish something could be done about my "i". It's too plain. [Broken External Image]:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/historical/Graf/milk2.jpg
Yes, and maybe you should find letters that flow and dont have a bajillion arrows. Take the extension off the K, and fix the M. and take the little dot off the I it doesnt fit.
the K isnt funky, its shitty. So is that M. You need to take our advice and go simple if you want to improve anytime soon. Drop the arrow!
Yeah, I meant shitty when I used the word funky. Do simples? Sure. I'll try and see if I can. I get these urges.... @Darkeist: Find letters that flow....I've come up with something new that's better. But somehow it looks like I've seen that style before. The "ilk" look nice, but I really do need to find a new "M". Thanks guys. I won't be posting back here 'till I'm sure I got something nice looking.
Word muse, your urges will make your letters shitty, start simple then slowly bend them, take off extensions and those god damn arrows.
man just write milk in ur regular hand writing then bunch it together and see where u can take it from there ease up...i can tell your not loose with the marker and trying to make "sharp" movement if that makes sense...just chill and practice regular letters
