im in AP digital art, adn im going for major in communication sciences and minoring in digital art...but i think graffiti is different htan the other forms of art, because letter structure is not taught in art calss, so you need to learn some htings on your own, but one with a natural art talent(such as lust, a graphis art major i believe) does have an advantage over someone else, say you
i better, otherwise thats a waste of a fucking college course. believe it or not, i havent tried comin up with a char yet. just been working on my letter structure haha
im not majoring, its a 3 year program, im gonna be starting my first year in the fall, if i complete the other two years, i can get into a university and get into a bunch of different courses. i'd really like to get into a history, theoretical or psychology program. but i fucked up school, and i didn't realize i'd be sitting here now wishing i didn't fuck it up. hahaha
majoring in art si a waste of time...in my opinion anyone who needs college to teach them to "draw" should start persueing different interests. i went freelance for a short while...youll learn alot more doing that than you will at college. unless your trying to be a teacher or professor. just thought id throw that out.
its kirby u bafoon! and no im not majoring in any art. but i do get paid to draw shit for some stores
after you have your visual arts , art major, where can you work what kind of job can you get? just wanted to know
I was a double major photography and tropical biology but now I can't afford school and dropped out.....
majoring in "art" is a waste of time if youre at a normal college or university seeing as most of the art departments are complete jokes. but if youre going to an actual accredited art school its a whole different animal. trust me if youre serious about what you want to do with art and want to focus on it, art school is definitely worth going to. you usually find out that youre doing alot of shit wrong when you actually take a class.
oh, also if youre serious about your artwork and do have some skill, but arent sure about what you really want to do, going to an art school is an invaluable resource of information and experiences on other forms of art you might not have even known existed. i went into art school thinking i was gonna major in photo. mid way through my first semester i realized it wasent my shit and discovered printmaking which i very very quickly took a deep interest and liking to. if i were ever to go back to UArts, it would be for printmaking
I've been drawing all my life and I get told a lot that I'm very skillful. I might go to college for some art shit but I'm not to sure yet. Does it help me with my writing? Well starting off, I already know the basics of drawing. All I need to do is apply it to my graffiti style and I'll be good.
honestly, unless the person telling you youve got drawing skills can draw well themselves, theyre just being nice or dont know any better. if you are concidering art school, be prepared for criticism. ive put sleepless nights into some works only to get them picked apart and called mediocre by the professor. it sucks, but its reality.
true e terraw but my mom mom majored in graphic design and she said that she was always poor and shit. either u make it or you dont...
