I'll prolly get whined at for being commercial from the haters, but my boy gave me a bootleg copy of Atmosphere "When life gives you lemons..." and it's fresh as fuck. "Are we having fun yet" was a dope album, but the new one is for the history books. I'm looking foreward to getting a legit copy of the album in blue, cuzz it's packaged with a childrens book by Slug. Sounds funny.

Who else has heard it and what do you think?

Tracks 5,6,and 7 (I don't know any names of the songs) where standouts for me. 2,3, and 4 where pretty fresh too. All of it is legit, but 5,6, and 7 banged.

This has probably been posted a while back, but I found it a solid album so decided to post it here.
I snagged it off another site, but it's up and runnin' so enjoy.
Also, I propose that some managing to this thread happens, cuz the about all the pages <500 have dead links.

Props on that Kero One. I look forward to listening to it

Also Props for Prolyphic and Paralogic, Credit is due to the original uploaders though.

I stumbled across this the other day. Dj Hi-tek's early days. It's only a 128kb/s which is kinda sad, but if anyone has a better quality version could they upload it?

    Mood - Doom

i wouldnt say it is for the "history books" but it deffientley wasnt a let down
    i deffineitly dug it
and about the sampling thing that everyone got in a big hissy fit about
first off if u dont like my opinion, fine, but dont call me a cunt or think less of me, its retarded
but yeah, i agree sampling is a big part of music, but i mean i feel that the artists are already dope enough to create a beat like that, why not do it?
i just think it is kinda a let down to find out half the song has already been made
for instance BRIDLE by sage francis, that is a dope sample- "I never thought id love youuuu....." he created that right??? (i pray he did)
its hard to explain but i like that idea more then celph titled playing with fire cause its already been done
and who ever mentioned that tid bit about how u can use the same song but not the melody or rythme (i forgot which one) is interesting ass hell
    i did not know that

Maybe its because I've got a thing for alot of the music that came out in the 60s and 70s, but what you said is backwards for me. If anything when I hear a good sample that I recognize I give more credit to the artist for dropping in some history, and more importantly something different into the track. But thats just me.

I wish rapidshare and megaupload would let me download faster than 4kb, cuase I'd be grabbing some of these..

    to each his own
now i just dont know whats orginal and whats not
i mean i was just listening to YGM by atmosphere and was wondering if ant made the beat or is it recycled...?
i mean i recently learned that woman with tattoed hands was also recyled, and thats hard to spot, its not like celph titled's playing with fire where the sample is more noticable i.m.o.

for example what does this mean
    B-52
    Wild Planet: (Warner Bros 1980)
    * “53 Miles West of Venus”
    Arsonists’s “Halloween”

like the arsonists song halloween is from the B-52's song 53 miles from venus..?
