Yeah... its called a two tone nib.. split the nib and form it how you want.. or drop diffent inks on each end.. its impossible to get it to form like that unless you've treated the nib with a reactant to the ink.. (which you wont know :D)

but seriosly.. just use it, its cool, but dont pass it off as the magic you said..

Yeah man.. but seriosly.. you gotta microwave it till you break down and vapourise all the polymers..

i ususally repeat the process about 3 times..

you should end up with a kinda hash like substance heh (then you need to crush it up.. dissolve in acetone. then let that evapourate..)

    done and perfect

    nah man thats k :D

Iodine is good for staining, and also bleeds quite well too.. and somtimes. it help things that dry on the surface more. sink in deeper.

Glossy finnish.. Krylon gloss, Polyurethane - or similar (but check it out with me) but those glosses can often reduce staining.. So if you can.. look for alcohol treated glosses. - and even shellac is quite good.

But if you cant find that, i advise a mix of 2/3 Krylon gloss to 1/3 shellac and use that mixture as a gloss.

To make your pen ink fade proof, you can either add strait up uv agents (but which can wash off with some of your ink) :( but most glosses have uv agents which are protected..

but i seriously advise woodstain.. has alot of uv protecters there..

The nib doesnt have to be treated with anything, i've had that effect loadsa times just from using two similarly based inks, its just impossible to predict what it'll look like. Curious to know how you managed to keep the chrome in the same place though if you didnt do what biz said.
Unless it's just fresh, in which case they'll mix eventually.

You dont quite get wham im saying man.. it will all be luck unless its done how i say..

its only pure luck that you get the nib looking like this (X one colour) Y another)

    XXXXYYYY
    XXXXYYYY
    XXXXYYYY

but mostly.. it'll come out like this.

    XYXXYXYX
    YYYXXYYY
    XYYXXYXX

purely anywhere.. thats why i said if its going to be exact, it would be like that.. the oulining effect is something that happens after its left the marker.. and will not work in your standard felt marker, (unless how ive explained.)

Na i get exactly what ur sayin lol, i was jst sayin u dont need to do anything to the nib as long as the mix seperates anyway.
Was just meaning that it works without doing that, but you cant predict the split if u get me.
The mix im using the now is in a marker with a bit of chrome alch. based ink left in it, love looking at the purple change to silver
    lol

I know that things seperate full, and have for years. im saying that its impossible to have it perfectly, mixed like that in the nib when yours markers upsidedown, on its side, right way up like normal carrying and use, then using and turning out like that.. im saying to have go through the nib, with normal use, and every time get perfect results. like i said.

    Bleeding Sharping ink.

Get about 10 sharpies and about a half cup of the highest percent alcohol you can find.

put the alcohol into a container, not too big.

uncap the sharpies and put the nibs into the alcohol.

let them bleed into it for 2-3 days.

makes nice ink, kinda hard to buff. (i did a buff test on some metal door at a swimming pool canme back 4 days later and you could still make it out after the buff.)

it also takes additives very well such as dot 3 ect...

learned a valuable lesson with oil based paint... dont leave it in a mop/marker for a few days, dries it out real bad.

rip one zig 2way nib, and one mop nib
