Has anyone heard of The Anunnaki? Sumerian Gods from Planet Nibiru that are supposedly returning to Earth along their orbit in 2012.

Planet Nibiru is the planet outside of plutos orbit documented by Sumerian Civilizations about 1000 years before the age of the Pharaohs in Egypt. Known to todays philosophers as Planet X. This planet is occupied by an advanced civilization of giants. Gods to the Sumerians. Who supposedly, through the process of gene splicing and replication, gave life to Cro Magnon, or modern, Man as we know it. When these Gods came to Earth, their temporary living space on Earth was known as Atlantis, or Eden.

All of this isn't just some guy saying he knows the answers. This information is all recorded on clay tablets, stones, papyrus, dated back to before the Birth of Christ or even the first recorded tales of the Christian Bible or Hebrew Torah. Zachariah Sitchin is one of the only people on Earth who dedicated their lives to translating the Ancient Sumerian texts. But its all there.

    look it up.

yea, i thought a philisophical idea was an intellectual, thought out, somewhat plausable idea?
indians believed in bigfoot... so fuckin what? there is no bigfoot.
also just so you know Nibiru, has to do with sumerian, and babylonian astrology, and the god Marduk, and it is common knowledge Nibiru refers to jupiter, not planet x

    look it up...

    few questions:
how would they travel to earth? by machine?
could they not be seen by telescope?
    how fast would they travel?
unless they traveled at lightspeed, couldnt they be seen already heading towards earth?

i just wanna mention again the color thing people were talking about in the last page...me and a friend talk about this for hours like every 6 months haha for a couple of years. what are colors? really anything more than names for pigments and how do we know everyone sees the exact same thing...what if someone grew up and got taught all the names of what we believe are the right colors but he sees them as different than us...he sees a green sky and blue grass...would that be plausible? and i dont really remember a lot about it but in some damn mcas reading thing there was an article about how people see colors in reaction to anger or sound...i dunno if its real or not but hows that shit work out...

also whoever said "I am my own God" and what nero was talking about with the positivitty thing i totally agree on. Ive found that if i really believe something is gunna happen just because I personally thought it could or would happen 9 outta 10 times it does but i wasnt raised this way it was somethin that i learned over the last few years so i dont always think about it but i really think that I have a personal influence on everything that happens to and around me and maybe other people do too and sometimes thet counter eachother and thats when i go wrong it depends on who is better at it in some way... and daaamn by the way i think people ussually think imon drugs... but im not...im just some what crazy

I believe we're all one, connected etc.. and basically all the same lifeforce.

I have a tattoo saying 'One' on my neck, mainly out of this belief and to remind me of the times I sorta discovered it and had my eyes opened. (Did alot of magic mushrooms many years ago).

Logically though, it makes sense because there is no such thing as nothing.

Naturally although we can see a distinction between where things are seperate from each other, (you, your computer chair, your pet etc..) really they're not, it's just a continuation of atoms and other forces/forms of matter/anti-matter etc.. right? Granted, in many different forms, but logically everything is connected in one huge mass of atoms and such and we are all one.

Another thing I always wonder, is in what forms do objects actually exist?

We see say, a can of spraypaint. It looks like that only because that's the way our senses/eyes and brain etc.. translate the data. Maybe other creatures see something different? I figure animals may see it as differently coloured, so who's to say what we see is actually how that object 'is'? It's easy to imagine it being a certain colour in it's own world, but what about shape? Form? etc.. Does it even exist on it's own or just because it's being observed?

It's impossible to comprehend really, how an object actually 'exists', when we're not viewing it how our senses translate the information.

i completely agree with nine, objects are what we perceive them to be dogs and other animals may even see them differently. we are limited by our senses our ears can only hear certain things, our fingers can only feel certain things and for all we know our eyes can only see certain things. also what is normal? everyone has a different standard of normal and usually comes from the people you have been with, what you have grown up with (tv, attitude from other people and discipline about certain subjects) and ultimately almost everyone uses themselves as the norm. in the end all that normal is is an opinion. thats what i think anyway, disagree as much as you like

Why do people take philosophy in school, and assume they're philosophical. I fucking hate that.
I've been 'taking' philosophy since I was 12, and I've gotten passed the endless/redundant query shit when I was 15. Never taken an actual philosophy class.
does anyone ever have anything new to contribute?

heres some good philosophy that you've probably never heard of, Because I fucking invented it.

shit nvm, I'd type it but then it might get stolen or something. it's happened before.

but yeah, I hate that perception philosophy crap, heres a philosophy for everyone talking about Perception>
Being that perception dictates all that we know to exist, querying what doesn't exist with that same perception is not only a paradox, but it is equivilent to trying to see in the dark, it is a waste of that perception, and a waste of time.
Stop thinking about what can't be explained, but use the structure and understanding of that philosophy to make your life better.

it was a large post, what part of it are you reffering to?
anyone who gets into this 'omg am i really here?' nonsense philosophy ends up wasting tons of time, and will probably come to the same conclusion I've came to: It Doesn't matter, because it never has and never will effect our lives. Understanding what you don't understand is a good thing, but focussing on it so much is silly, especially when you've already classified it as 'impossible to understand'
I try to be practical with philosophy.
