he's probably implying that you sound like you live in a privileged home and only poor or homeless people are allowed to dumpster dive.

    which is bullshit.

oh well what a dickhead, it's not like he doesnt like in a house and is obviosly privileged to be sitting on a computer. I just have to be home at a certain time so the alarm can get set so noone breaks in, i hate the fuckin alarm. But yeah that's bullshit, dumpster diving is for anyone smart enough to realize that you can get the same shit out of the trash that you can get in the store but for free and sometimes in large quantities.

no i don't think dumpster diving is only for the homeless. but if you gotta be home at 11 30 so your mom can turn on the house alarm and your have to ask weather to comeback with bolt cutters. you should just worrie about some other things besides getting free paint
Bolt cutters are easy to hide in a back pack...
yeah then youll probably make it hot so probably only do it once.

or.... Pick the lock like i do:)

bring a large duffle bag incase you find something dope.
we've found printers and scanners but we had to leave them because we couldn't fit them in.
and try not to take shit that you honestly won't use because it takes up space and it might be perfect for some other diver.

I went to the back of model's on accident cause I forgot where I parked my car, and I saw a dumpster full of deflated basketballs/footballs and some skateboards. At the very bottom were broken picture frames and torn up magazines.

I got 3skateboards two extra trucks, a chipped baseball bat, and some water canisters

I've only dumpster dived 1 time and that was at the end of the school year when I still lived in Toronto. Our school had to replace EVERYTHING in the supply room (a fire was started because of someone leaving an overhead projector on) But half of the shit wasnt even burned. But due to some health shit they had to throw everything away. I remember my friend and I were skating on the school steps and we saw bags and bags of shit (this was like at the end of June 2007)

So we decided to take a peek and we found bulk boxes of pencils, pens, chalkboard erasers, printing paper. So we went to my house brought 2 backpacks and filled emwith shit. We did like 3 runs. I have like 2000 pages of normal printing paper in mint condition, boxes of pens and pencils. Most of it is in our storage room so I really havent had the change to get stuff to make inks. But yeah I regret not having taken the chalkboard erasers (I didn't write then)

But yeah I don't think I can dumpster dive in Mexico.... :(

no, home depot throws away cans sometimes. i saw a worker throwing away cans without caps on them, and dented rust oleum paint. also some blocks of wood, paint brushes, carpets, basically anything that can no longer be sold.

all of them had something wrong with it, but works perfectly fine. i couldnt get any though cause i was with my parents.

well idk about your hardware stores but most of them have regular dumpsters cause normally what they throw away are highly flammable. barnes and nobles or stores that don't sell paint or any solvent cleaners will most likely have compactor dumpsters. food places use compactors for mainly discarding food, but tainted knives, softdrink cups will be tossed in regular dumpsters.

big office supply stores like staples or office depot will have regular dumpsters. they mainly throw away torn packages, packs of pens/pencils, notebooks, basically anything that is torn or missing something. And most security cameras are located in the store, near the parking lot, in the entrace, and sometimes in the back. but they don't monitor it 24/7. if there is a camera just act like a bum, sit near the dumpster for awhile then pretend you're looking for food or something.
