as far as radar detectors. i have two valentine ones, and they have never failed. when yuo call the number you either speak to joe valentine or his wife. joe was the one who helped create the passports. and instead of buying a whole new radar detector when they are obsolete, you can send back the shell and get new electronics put in it.
