ECEmpire- I really like the idea with the three blocks but it's kind of messy as ESO said.

Eso- The E needs a little work in my opinion. And I would lose the arrows/lighting bolt things. I like the background a ton though.

This thread is tight there are some serious artists up in this bitch.

Just curious after you guys lay down your background when you start your letters do you work "Inside out" (i.e. Fill, outline, forcefields) or "Outside in" (i.e. Forcefield, outline, fill).

Here's a quick canvas I did of Kanye for my girlfriend:

(Sorry about the shitty picture, too dark, and doesn't show the background which has a lot more color and shit going on than you can tell in the picture)

I'm fine with crits, but specifics help me improve. Just hearing it's shitty doesn't teach me much. Thanks

work on your handy, a lot.
    a lot
    a lot
    go simpler.
Letter structure for what I can see of the piece. Bars. and Don't even worry about canvas, backgrounds, 3d, or color schemes yet. just get a pencil, get some good music, lock yourself in your room, and do simples.

Okay, thanks. Not trying to use this as an excuse, but it was literally the first piece I had ever tried, so I've learned a (tiny) bit since. The only reason I even tried it on canvas was because I had one laying around that I needed to paint over, and Deco's work over painted canvas so beautifully. I'll work on some more simps. Thanks

I know it's not the stencil thread, but any crits on the Kanye stencil?

Got some new paint today and wanted to test it out, plus I wanted to practice fading and my can control on sharp edges , instead of thick fuzzy lines, so I started a background on an old canvas. Not sure what else I'm going to add to the background before I start working on a diagonal piece through it.

Thanks guys. It's my first canvas other than that shtity kanye stencil a few posts up.
I'll try and snap a picture with a real camera, it looks a lot better without the yellowish cell-camera lighting.

The bottom right bubbles are actually a pinkish-fuschia color, not red, and the top left are more of a greenish color, and A LOT cleaner than the picture shows. The fade is more noticeable too, I know the pic makes it just look like one solid shade of turquoise.

Now I've just got to work on something to actually write/piece across it.

My focus on this canvas kind of shifted from just a colorful background, to a stand alone piece. I still plan to incorporate letters into it eventually, just not sure where yet. I need to do something with the two open spaces, the visual weight isn't distributed very well yet.

I'd love any and all crits. Thanks
