i use my basement, its really messy, and filled with terrible fumes from styrene monomer and all sorts of toxic chemicals hhaa
i use my bathroom room and i make all my ink on the counter by the sink. i constantly have to spray Lysol in there so my parents don't walk in and be like Wtf is that smell?
at michaels i saw a stamp pad that said METAL on it. i was reading and it say that its used for staining metal. but the instructions say to apply a heat. anyone know how effective it is at staining without heat (in a marker)
This thread is pretty useless when nobody answers any of your questions... If I make ink out of pen tubes and carbon paper soaked in alcohol, will it stain at all? And will it be able to hold up to weather/sun well?
^well the quetions your asking are quite obvious or repeated... yes [en ink stains, its more than half dyes. carbon paper is useless really
wow, just fucking experiment.. jesus christ. read about shit. its not hard.want us to write for you too? fuck.
I mean I don't see how hard it is to just type the answer if its already common knowledge for you. Shouldn't take too long unless you have no fucking hands. With your post you could have just answered my question instead of bitching. Unless of course you don't know the answers, which I wouldn't be surprised. I've been looking around bro. It's pretty boring to read through all 500 pages of this thread just to find a few simple answers that someone with experience on the subject could tell me with 30 seconds of their time. What can I add to pen ink to get it to hold up to weather/direct sunlight better? And whats wrong with carbon paper? Oh and another quick question. The last batch of pen ink I made was a little watery and not opaque enough. I used black pens and it came out purple. You guys think this is because I used 70% alc instead of 91% or because I used too much alc? Next batch I'm using 91% and as little liquid as possible.
well when i come off my high, ima post some faq about ink on here, like brake fluid and pen ink, bla blah and than just sig it , and if like a couple of other heads who visit this thread regularly would sig it too or maake their own or whatever, we could prolly stop like 3/4 of all the white noise that goes on in this thread. huzzah!!
yo sadistic..take 100 black pens and 3/4 cup or not quite a full cup of 91% or greater alcohol and u have a start..(the right measurments make the difference)take that higgins shit and boil it down to a sludge then add it to the pen ink..and mix it reeeaaallll good so it doesnt settle...thats for fade control..go to a pet store and get the meth blue or go to a pharmacy and ask for gentian violetin crystal form(i find this easier to get)...then wen u get home or where ever add like 3 drops of water to the gentian and make a solution..add it to the ink..there u go..some descent staining ink thats somewhat fade proof.. oh and dot 3 isnt really worth putting in at all from my expirences...just slows drying time..this ink dries ok fast but sits long enuf to settle and stain..
Just made ink out of rubbing alcohol and 10 pens. Made one red and one blue. Red I added one black ink to. Should be okay to use in a mopper. Any suggestions on bingo dobbers? Or is there anything better I can get at a hobby store? Suggestions? :3
I've read stazon bottles make good mops and you can get them from michaels. Thanks for all the info guys. What else can I add to help prevent fading?
those suck, they arent squeezable and the nibb is pre soaked with lemony shit, use the clear ones right by them
yea just use the clear stamp cleaners. the solution is waterbased so all you need to do is rinse it out. walmart has 10 packs of generic pens on sale for $0.25. i dont know if the sales are the same at all stores, but you all might wanna check it out. QUESTION- is the gentian violet behind the counter or on the shelf?
