Whoa lol chillax, the only reason me and vagrant said that is because were get tired of giving the same advice or answers over and over and over again, with a little research most of these questions could be answered. And as for fuck experimenting thats how me vagrant, h3tt and any other cats that know alot about ink got to knowing alot about it.

And i say the toy thread because its the place for asking toy question where there more expected, that was the point of it being made. now no one posts there and all the toys ask questions here, where here should be for questions about advanced ink stuff like advanced mixes and suspending pigments and stuff.

The main issue with that being that your relying on hordes of internet and graff noobs to use intelligence to steer themselves to the right area. That right there, unfortunately, is the main flaw in that plan.

Hell, even expecting them to figure it out after you've spelled it out is a longshot.

I think the problems is the toy section description says "toy threads go here" and the description to the tools and tips section says "Ink recipes, homemade markers, graffiti 101 questions go here." It's pretty hard for me to steer myself into the right area when the areas aren't even fucking labeled correctly

To tell you the truth I didn't even know there was a toy ink recipe thread until you guys told me... I'll try that thread. Hopefully some knowledgeable users visit it every once and a while to answer questions.

Thanks for the info. So you mean... have a cup of paint and pour the ink into the paint, not the other way around? If I do this and the results are too thick can I still use paint thinner to thin it out, or am I best off doing this before I add the ink? And are you sure this will work? I've always read mixing alcohol based with oil based is a no no. If it is possible will the ink mixed into the paint still stain ?
I was reading that you can use mustard powder to help water based and oil based paints mix, can this be used to mix alcohol based ink and oil based paint? I'll try this shit out if noone knows.

Another question.. I racked a bottle of povidone iodine solution. This shit isn't pure iodine is it? Worth adding to ink or should I trash it?

...pure iodine is a solid... so no, not even close, its relly diluted
you should boil it down a bit, or let it evaporate a bit, the nuse it

if yu boil it, make sure you have a glass above whatever your using to boil it, and put ice cubes on top of the glass, so that any iodine that sublimes crystalizes on the glass

Thanks for the info Het. I recently made a test batch of red. And put a few drops of iodine in it. It goes on Magenta looking but the stain is what I care about. Dont know if the few drops of Iodine matters to it though as its still in the testing stages.

Also thanks for the idea about boiling it down. I wanted to make pigs blood colored ink but I have so far failed with 4 total batches.

I just get aggravated sometimes when people ask questions that would be easy to find the answers to with little to no effort. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to experiment. You're on the internet. Use it, damn it.Lots of the recent questions have answers in the ink recipe sticky. I know for a fact. Just read it.To find the answers to other questions spend 5 seconds on a google search. For instance, you could probably find the answer to the DED outdoorsman flow through a pump marker question if you visited the DED site. But that means navigating away from bombingscience, which must not be an option, it seems.

I don't know much about mentioned inks but I would mix it with anything that is fade resistant as dye by it self fades pretty easily.
