Ya i called the guy selling it and he said it would only be like $250 to fix. Whoever bought that car got one hell of a deal.
old setup: ls vtec/ eagle h beams cp pistons stock gsr head. ect.. sold that to start a new project. last pic is before the new bottom end was assembled and the gsr head put on. moving onto a built 2.0l motor this summer looking for at least 500whp which should be pretty easy for a daily driver. wire and brake line tuck all that fun stuff. my friend just went 9's in his hatch on 660whp this summer and the new setup should be over 850 so that shit should be super gnarly to hold onto haha
You see the new limited Jetta TDI Cup that's comin' out...? My true passion is for VW's and Audi's... but my next car I really want something with AWD. Hence, the Subie STi I'm currently obsessed with. View attachment 538586
0-100 in 5.1 seconds...not bad. unless it is KM/H which im guessing it is because i doubt its faster then a mclaren f1.
just got a 4-bangin' Saturn sc1, engine worth fixing up? i got it for free 64K miles tip top shape besides the tranny slipping haha
no point in sleeving a honda block really mate....they are proven to hold 600whp on stock....why replace something that is a lot more un-reliable, and will most probably drop/be put in slightly wrong.... but k20 into an em1 is pointless...well not pointless but just a lot of hard work....em1 to a b20, with a b18c4 head, low comp, forged rods and pistons, easy put out 450whp
double post...but anyway... My coupes being painted next month...in ford deep purple velvet Heres a quick photoshop of what the outcome will hopefully be like... Setups gonna be... D16Y7 1.6L SOHC Stock Internals Stock Head Garett T3 Ball bearing turbo... ebay cheapo intercooler and boost piping.... Custom oil feeds and return lines... Custom log manifold... HKS SSQV Blow off.... Tial 38mm Wastegate... P30 ECU with Hondata s300 Stage 2 clutch.... Plus other odd bits... But should hopefully be runing 250hp, 200 at the wheels would be nice...Im gonna be building a fully forged D16Z6 to hopefully run around 450whp
Ya my friend drifts and he goes through a shit load of tires. You need to get real good real fast and get sponsored by a tire company or else you will be spending alot on tires.
i drift my fwd car with trays on the back tires....... lol jk. you guy know whats fuckin funny? front wheel drive cars drag racing AND they have they have the bigger tires in the FRONT. :3 its like putting a mini skirt on a fat chick.
u have to put bigger tires on the front for traction. ^^ New Jetta R. not going into production but still dope. or if yopu want ssomething AWD here u go. yea its stock but minor things and its tearing the tracks (and streets) up [Broken External Image]:http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/2007_chicago/0702_z+2007_volkswagen_rabbit_r32+front.jpg
sorry for the big quote but dude... that last pic looking at the red X kinda shit is tripping me out hella max, thats mean as... love your car btw lol
Trust me, I love the .:R32... both the '04 and '08 models... but at that price point, I can get a Subie STi with much lower miles, less expense, more power, blah blah blah.
sweet build! not sure how I feel about the deep purple color but it actually looks "different" and different is better.
600whp on a stock block can be done but it wont last long. cft did it, evans tuning did it on a d series but stock sleeves are a timebomb. they could go out at 600hp or crack one at 300. my friend went 10.70's on a stock b16 motor on 20+ lbs. hell my friend threw his ls turbo he had layin around all stock over 100k miles on it, put 30lbs to it in his race car shell and went mid 10's. but that stuff all shits the bed sooner than later even with a good tune. sleeving a block is necessary for being reliable. ive built quite a few motors over the years and im friends with some pretty reputable tuners they all say the same thing. if your sleeving a block dont go to some stupid shop to do it, send it out to golden eagle, erl, darton ect. and yea you can make 450 easy with that setup. only thing is the b20 has weaker cylinder walls which make it almost absolutely necessary to sleeve a block on anything over 10-12 lbs on one if you plan on driving it everyday or beating on it. ive seen them crack at 6lbs even with an evans tune one of the best in the country. then again ive seen them hold 20. it all depends on the motor. also any b series head will give you enough flow for that type of hp range. you can make well over 500hp on a stock b16 or gsr head
