Yes. This is why I tell you to just save for the R3m. You will feel safe in your purchase that way and it will last you a lifetime. isn't the 35 2.5 M mount anyway? [Broken External Image]:http://images.fixya.com/V/Voigtlander/177x150/22507667.JPG or did you buy that? and yeah, it's a trip when you get your first rangefinder lens, they are so tiny. dope.

Yeah the red stripe is found on canons L series line and yes, super-low dispersion glass. also they have relatively large apertures compared to other Canon lenses in the same focal lengths. I do mostly fine arts photography. Occasionally I'll do model shoots or weddings to pay the bills. But during the 3 days that I rented the 100mm macro, I realized the really cool things you can do with it. In fact, I used it at a wedding! It is great for product photography but I wouldn't limit it to that. I'm gonna post some of the stuff I did with it asap. I have a gallery show next month and I did some cool stuff for the show using the macro.
I've decided I only want to use prime lenses. I just like them better. I need a good prime wide angle that won't put me in debt. Joooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe?
Yeah I don't own any non prime lenses and I'll tell you 1 thing, there is no such thing as a prime lens that won't put you in debt LOL. But if this is your life man then thats what you do and thats what youre spending your money on. And don't let anyone tell you its not worth it!
Wow weird my real name being used on here. Channa is right. prime wide angle? look at the tokina 17mm, or there are a few sigma wides that are primes. there aren't many and they aren't thattttt cheap. All wides these days are zooms. tokina 12-24. And remember, most primes are made for full frame 35mm film cameras, so any prime that is wide on full frame, like the 17mm only becomes 25mm on your d40 or whatever you have. If your wondering, with nikon the crop factor for DX cameras is 1.5. So basically, take a lens like the 17mm, halve the 17, you get 8.5, then add that 8.5 to 17 and you get 25mm. This is the case for any lens.
