It is the digital revolution that kills electronic music as a whole. Exactly the same thing happened to drum and bass after jungle.

Back in the day (3-4 years ago with dubstep) you actually had to go to shows to hear new tunes on dubplates that were released only on vinyl months later...
International acts used to be really exciting cos you would leave after hearing heaps of brand new tunes... and you would yearn for them to be released half the time not even knowing their names!

Now any faggot can make a shit tune, stick it on beatport etc. And any other faggot can download the latest tune that has been ripped and play it on their serato or cdj's and call themselves a dubstep dj. Fuck right off.
Now even if you go to a mala gig everyone has heard all the tunes in most cases... even though they are some of the only artists still keeping it real with vinyl and dubs.

Shot bro. You just upped datsik so your opinion is irrelevant.

    UK GARAGE.

This shit is the original. Dubstep grew from this. If you don't like this shit, then to be honest, you really don't know what dubstep is, and you can fuck off and listen to datsik.

    faggggggggggg

well thats your opinion i think he produced some things that have made dubstep go down totally different roads to find new styles. But IMS enjoy all dubstep. No matter if its to Mainstream or Not.

i dont see what the huge problem with datsik is. he has his own style and i like the bass in his songs. thiers nothing wrong with evolving and just cus people like his songs doesnt make it shit. its still dubstep and if anyone killed dubstep it was Borgore but at the same time i dont really see how dubstep can be killed when its just getting started? imo its like hiphop with the sugarhill gang as the very original and then tupac and biggie making it better. but thats just my view, critisize me all u want.

It's NOT his own style! He has managed to turn dubstep into one sound. And it's an awful sound. The thing that used to be dope about dubstep is there was no formulaic sound to it. Faggots like datsik and borgore have turned dubstep into this noisy power tool sounding garbage that now I'm embarassed to say I like dubstep. Before I was proud because it was a new sound that went in many different directions. For example, listen to a joker track, then listen to a scuba track, then listen to a skream track, and then listen to a burial track. SO DIFFERENT. But then the ex drum and bass americans just slowed down their lame soul less drum and bass tracks and called it dubstep. And of course, all the 15 year old ex drum and bass heads turned to dubstep cos they were sick of how repeditive their old genre was.

Where is the DUB in any datsik song? Infact, there is not even a 2 step drum pattern in ANY of his songs. So how can it be called DUBSTEP? I bet the cunt never even listened to ANY jamaican or UK music before pretending to be a 'dubstep' artist. All these datsik songs are are just a noisy powertool drum and bass formula, slowed down to 140 and added a kick and a snare. Its fucking stupid and embarassing.

It's just sad to see a truly new and fresh genre being turned into a formula by idiots like him.

    ANYWAY.

Seeing distance soon.. gonna be fucking large.

It's quite refreshing to know that someone in here knows what the fuck they're talking about lol.

Anyone check out the new Magnetic Man Essential Mix yet? It's pretty good, been rinsing it for the past week or so.
