I might be able to get a D3x for $2500... Retail $11,000. Brand new with Nikon warranty. I don't need it at the moment but by the time I do I won't be able to get this bargain. Will be good to have my D300 as a second body then, don't have to worry so much when shooting skating up close. Also good for weddings, etc... I'm pretty much convincing myself to do it and be left poor, because the pros outweigh the cons by miles..
I hear you tech...it'd be nice to have two cameras with different lenses on them instead of changing lenses out all the time...i must have done that nine times for this party...
these are some fotos from my entrance examn for design school EDIT:strange cant seem to upload them that i can see them on this forum
jst got back from a week in the highlands of scotland (family reunion/ piss-up) so heres a couple of shots...some rolls of film will be bak soon so ill see if any turn out good, [Broken External Image]:http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f392/RABID_28/Photography/DSC_1797.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f392/RABID_28/Photography/DSC_1803.jpg ^ to dark?
Ben -The first three were way too dark. What was your shutter speed at? Bilal - I love all of those! Very sweet. A356 -Keep shooting! :] CuCCui - Love the first one, the others are nice too. I never even thought of photographing birthday parties.
Anyone into photojournalism: http://www.jodicobb.com/ Definately check out the 'slavery' section.. fucked up to knwo that shits still going down as it is..
... Dude! thanks,I never thought of it either till i was asked...the cool thing about it is after I knocked the first one out,I have had all day to reflect on how to make the next one go smoother and how to make it better...believe it or not there are people who dont care to have their pictures taken...so what i'll do is get a volunteer to go to all the guests and ask if they mind having their photo's taken,if not they get a red card, signifying to me as i go about ranging for candids and portraits I don't have to ask i'll just take it...I imagine a birthday party is almost the same as a wedding with out all the dramma... posted a few on my facebook and have generated interest and set two dates for December...this is turning out easier than I previously thought... Quick question...I need a lens that is fast but can capture crisp images from a distance of 50 or so feet, what would you suggest? also the 55-200mm I'm using does fine for now but I realize i'm gonna need to invest more... of the $500 ive invested in the past 3 months i've made back $300.and i don't know shit about photography except for what I've picked up lurkin round here...Thanx Fellas
I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. He won't actually disclose who, what or where but he's getting a Canon 5d Mark II through them and knows some others who have got the same before. Said he can only get it for about a month so I'm pushing for more info, haha...

i like this. it feels a little blurry for some reason though.. Cuccui; if youre serious about photography as a career --look into the nikkor 70-200 2.8 (for candid) and 24-70 2.8. these two lenses will be able to take on pretty much any job thrown at them..of course, look at the price
Thanx IV... not sure if i wanna pursue it as a career persay, but i'll have my house paid off in like 4 years and I'm gonna retire at that time..just thinking I could have a nice hobby and make some cash doing it...
