Painting at night isent that great if your used to chill day spots but Just plan your painting on nights with no clouds, youll be surprised how crazy the moon is lit up.
Night vision goggles seriously. I got the pair from the MW2 package they work amazingly. Since they dont sell that package anymore get them off ebay...gonna runs you a bit over 100$ but well worth it. 100% legit.
haha i thought this was to see shit in your bag. piecing and bombing at night are 2 totally different beast. when bombing you almost dont need to see, you should be able to bust a throw in your sleep. most times a dark color fill and lighter outline works the best. my fav. night banger is black fill white outline, its the best to see and it looks super clean if you get the outline right. its best to just use whatever light you got thats not your own, cell phones are great light but i dont carry my cell on me if im bombing. too much important shit in there, numbers and text cops would love to get there hands on. sounds kinda silly but right before you hit a spot just stay still and close your eyes for about a min or 2. let your eyes get used to the dark, dont look at anything bright and you will be amazed at what you can actually see.
Fube is right, I showed up to a bridge a few weeks ago to bomb, I was shocked by how little moon/street light made its way under there, it was PITCH black! I had to use my cell phone to look in my bag to distinguish yellows/whites/pinks/blues ... it was ridiculous, I sat down, closed my eyes, had a smoke (while covering the cherry as to not uck up my slowly rising night vision. After about 3 minutes I was able to open my eyes and was able to read the graffiti on the other end of the bridge. 3 minutes earlier I couldnt even see the pillars that support the bridge 5 feet in front of me. Take your time and use this trick.
if i really need light when i'm bombin, i use my phone, or a lighter. but i just do my shit in the dark and let my eyes adjust. who the fuck would bring an actual light source like a flashlight or somethin. that'd get you booked so quick.
If you need a light source then use a lighter or a zippo quick. But don't get to close or u might set ur piece on fire. Honestly I have never found a spot that was too dark to bomb. In fact I looks for dark places so I don't get spotted. Unless ur doing a piece with detail u shouldn't need a light unless ur doing fine detail or something.
i thought this thread was about 3d light sources in your paintings and drawings. what a dumb fuckin topic, this fred should burn
Depends where your painting. Im currently doing a bus stop down my street like 3 metres wide. Its pitch as fucking black. so hardd
I wouldn't use any of those things, as almost every single person has said so far. use the moon. It works, its free, you cant forget to bring it with you, and it doesnt seem out of place at night.
