I'm wanting to try out some new caps, but I'm not sure what I would want to get yet. All the cans that I have are the male valved painters touch and I was considering getting female fat caps and just skipping the cap adapters, but there really isn't a wide variety of female caps out there. Should I get the female caps with an adapter or should I just get the female caps.

What caps do you recommend for Throw ups? I know everyone typically recommends high pressure for throw ups, but I'm loaded on Montana Gold, so i don't have any high pressure cans yet. Is it going to make a huge difference in time it takes to put up?

fingerlickinchicken, no writer likes to get cuffed so it's normal to be freaked by the pigs... just keep doing your thing and avoiding them, sooner or later you'll get used to it and with time you'll gain more experience and will know what to do and how to handle it. you'll eventually panic less as long as you're a bomber on the regular and not just once a month...

Mr. november, I think your best bet are those new wingcap adapters we're making, but frankly mine are still on their way, so I didn't get the chance to test them out, so I can't confirm that they're good, but from the videos and the word, they seem fine (I use loads and loads of shit male cans with stock caps.. so this'll be a game changer if they work out. will update this post with feedback later)
Other than that, and if I remember correctly, you were at the stage where you're still starting out, so I'll assume that you're still young in the game, and I'll give you the same (best) advice I give to everyone like you. practice as much as you can with shit female cans + stock tips. if you can rock clean lines and fills with those, name brand cans like mtn, beltons, and laks will be a walk in the park later on. remember, your can's quality doesn't make you a good writer, it's your skills that matter. YOU paint the piece, not the can.

PIECE, as far as I know, montana golds have variable valve systems, which means the harder you press on the cap, the higher the pressure, and vice versa. so I guess you're good. As far as throwups are concerned. fat caps + high pressure cans are always a win. higher pressure = faster filling. and fat caps = wider coverage. add those up and you have a recipe for victory. go destroy.
of course, none of that will matter if you're not experienced with bombing. you'll still be slow at the beginning, but you'll pick up speed the more you do it. so practice practice practice :)

regarding the forum issues, I'm sorry I had to delete you guys' comments, it's just to tidy the thread up a lil bit. like I say in the announcement, it's being taken care of. some parts have been already fixed. more to come soon.

Thanks for the tips, Venom. I did a throw up with gold and fatcap last night (the one I posted) and you're right about the gold valve. The harder I pressed the quicker it came out. I had some trouble with can control while doing this, but more practice will take care of that. Thanks bro!

update: I received the wingcap adapters yesterday, and they don't work on the shit brand cans. the hole where the can's "dick" is supposed to go is too small. i think it only works with them rustos. the american accents, or the painter's touch... not sure, I don't have any of either at hand right now to test them. but as far as regular shit cans go, the male valve is just too big to fit in the adapters.
I'm dissapointed.. was kinda looking forward to those. but hey at least the stickers cheered me up a bit :>

whats this wingcap? i got a newsletter from 12 oz prophet and they mentioned something about it, how are u supposed to use it? why was it made, it looks weird its got these 2 bits off to the side...

also, how do people do pieces that are like 2 metres high when they're not even that tall, is it possible they take a ladder to the wall or stand on a fence or something?

2 meters high is a regular person's average reaching height, guy.
if it's a chill wall, they probably either have a mini-ladder or they find something to stand on. a box or a rock or something...

and the wingcaps are adapters that allow you to use male caps on male cans... like the ones 0ink make

Hey Venom, ***** makes yellow adapters that will fit your shitty cans valves. The wing caps and pink sekts pretty much only do rustos.

So I noticed a couple spots I've hit up have been painted over by the owners/city. How long should I wait before trying to hit it up again?

common sense states that if you're mixing PAINT, your chances of ending up with INK are slim to none.
best advice I can give you is to not mess with mixing shit. just buy your marker refills and save yourself the trouble.

PIECE, if I were you, I wouldn't hit those spots again. no reason to hold a grudge, just move on to other spots. graffiti is ephemeral anyway.

ur210, no you don't. and just in case they get suspicious and ask you why you need it, say it's for your father.

Shoe polish container + white or black paint + some paint thinner should do you dummies fine for a while.

Or cut up some pen tubes and add a splash of dot3 for an ink.

BUT MN, WAT IF I WAHNT COLERZ?

Well you're in luck. Acrylic paint tubes. Overpriced in my opinion but they'll get you some nice colors mixed with white.

how long do cans of paint usually last before they turn to shit....

i ask coz ive got about 16 cans just sittin in my shed in the heat and they've been there for about a year.

and also, does anyone notice that sometimes the colour of the paint is not what the can says it is, it comes out a lighter colour or its not even remotely similar to the colour the can says it is..

no, you can create a new account and ask the admin to delete your current one

where do you keep getting these questions from hahah
cans last much more than a year, depending on the temperature where they are. if it's too hot, the paint inside'll get ruined. if it's too cold, the pressure'll get fucked up.
but I guess in moderate temperatures they can prolly last more than a decade sometimes (if it's good quality)
and regarding the color... shake that shit well and you should be fine. if not, there's either something wrong with it, or the cans are faulty.. or it's just shit ass cheap paint
