Alright thanks, just hooked up with a guy who has been paiting for 7 years so I tend to try and rush everything to match his stuff hehe
LOL gay. But srsly, don't rush, I reckon if you ask this guy, he would tell you exactly what I just told you. keep doing keyboard letters. It takes time, a really long time, it would take years, before you really understand the way letters work and how they can create flow. But if you're really devoted to graffiti, that's not an obstacle. I bet that in a year, you'd have changed your name. I changed my name about 5 times before I had something I was really happy with and something that worked for me. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if I would change my name again in the future. I don't paint yet, because I don't think I'm good enough, and I don't want toys to take over my neighborhood.
This is my 6th name but its the only one I got any rep with so hopefull I'll stay with Daek for a while. Heres one of his paintings, crits? I only helped with the background. (soz for wall pic)
looney…i like he red on black motif that shite is hot…also i like the same letter o for each space consistent …. the N is huge…it can be slimmed down a bit and still look nice not to much tho…all in all that shit is hot clap… nice a clean letters the one that is connected is og …. nice clean letters … i would like to see on with a solid outline instead of the sketch but whatever NYC…. im bet u are not from new york but anyways…..the paint looks half way decent….except for the crinkle thing in the C or is it an E….whoooknow… the outline and the cracks don't look bad but needs time on paper to workout the kinks…the fat side of the N the fat part of the Y and the E/C? BARS are for better letters check out clap, soup and loon, emulate until further notice…paint at your own risk
Nah we're from sweden, ye I noticed the extention in the middle sorta made it look like an E, might quickly fix that someday
Gotta agree with Loon, real shitty for 7 years. If you bust your ass you should be better then this guy in a year or two.
@Mindspin: That aint even legible. For a second I thought it said Chita and then I just got lost. Keep working on it. At least seperate your letters so they're obvious. @Mastermind: I like the simple letters you're doing. Simple, clean and right to the point. Keep at it, bro.
haha or a month or two. 7 years on and off? mostly off? beaver that shits nice, nothing really wrong with it. keep it simple and keep it up cheezn just restart. write it simpler, that looks dumb clap also got the right idea. I feel like you were already on the forums under a different name. was it like wale? or ewal24? or something like that, the super simple style and the bars and letter arrangement looks like it
^^^ Simplify your letters. You're to do things you don't fully understand yet. Try simple letters until you get a good idea of letter width consistency and what looks good and what doesn't. The purple one is a definite no all around. The other two are good examples of no consistency on your letter width and size. Also don't do the letter connections like the white n orange one, that just looks dumb. Keep practicing though.
Nice stuff all keep going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! View attachment 646602
