Elik gmv for the ares battle! i just finished mine today so it's not worth to post it but my GOKU is coming tomorrow!
Really digging this, kinda got a euro train style funk to it. And that eyeball is reminding me of that old activision chatacer from the early tony hawk games. Good shit
Hello there. I am new to this whole writing thing, i started like 2 days ago and i need practice, but i thought what better way to practice than by battle throw ups tehe (but seriously i have no idea, if you have any suggestions for practicing id love to hear them :3 ). At this time i have no resources to colour and i suck at shading so... also sorry for bad lighting.
Hey, welcome! It's always good to have new people here and you may have something so keep practicing! so from what people always say when we are beginning, try to balance your letters, you have to start simple and know the basics of letter structure so you can bend the rules and change it later on when you know what you are doing. Take your "G" for exemple, see how you have such a big difference between the top and the bottom? try to balance that, do everything with the same thickness for now. I would say that for now, you should really work on the letters, the simpler the better, work with bars .
I knew you was gonna do something ill with your name being DBZ lol. You got my vote already bro good $#!%, loving that Boo O & Frieda K!!
Welcome, your off to a pretty good start. Structure structure structure, that's what it's all about. The Toys forums are full of threads that give good tips & YouTube has tons of good videos also (Doke & Grim The Bench are 2 really good ones for beginners). As far as colors, go cheap & get some of those sets online that are like 80 markers for $30 they're great for practing (that's what I use bro). Most importantly follow the Bi-weekly Battles & the Write The Person Above Name threads on here there's a lot of cool folks that will show you the ropes so to say lol. The rest is all patience & practice
Thanks for the welcome. Going into this I don't really know anything about structure or fonts or style, I just Linda started drawing until I had something that looked kinda good. But yeah. I'll take your advice and start learning real shit. I may not be able to invest all that much time at the moment as I have big exams coming up, but after that I'm finished school and have all the time in the world. I'll do what I can in the mean time tho. ^^
Just remember, it's cool when others admire your work but you do it for yourself. If this is something you love you will work on it your whole lifetime, take your time and have fun with it
