Can you remember how you felt when you got up your first throwie?

I know Im a late starter but I got l first throwie up this week and although its shit I felt pretty good about it. Did it at 2am and spent 30 minutes on it before something spooked me, so made a bit of a mess, but still pleased. It was my first time 'going somewhere I shouldnt' and Ive got it in quite a bold place. I realised theres shit loads to learn but felt pretty exhilarated over it!

Got any stories on your first throwie of remember how you felt?

I'm surprised more folks don't remember tbh, as it was their very first one that led to their next. That led to their next - quite an important induction!

I was surprised I used basically a whole can of paint, and my can control was messy, but still pretty stoked that it's up

    We've graduated!

when I did my first throwie that shit was ass, lol you quickly realize how different it is going from paper and pencil to wall and spray paint. it was super small and not very appealing but id be lying if I Sayed I wasn't proud to put paint to wall yo, nothing beats putting up especially when its a clean ass throwie.

Yeah trying to actually draw something with spray paint is a whole new experience. I suddenly realised how skilled graff writers are!

Mines shit but I'm happy - I chat to someone in a neighbouring town on insta but haven't told him my tag name. He brought up seeing the throwie though and said it looks alright to him - that felt good to have another writer validate it as well :)

    Scared as shit.
Kind of pissed when I heard some people who didn't write say it was shit. it was next to an actual piece . I just went out a little further on the flood wall. 20 years later it's the only thing I got up that is still there. A couple people have hit the spot since . But no one has slashed my shit or gone over it.

$27 , and you can get as busy as you want. Thow in another $7 and I'll let you get your grandmas period painties back. You can keep them next to the dick pics your ol grand pappy bequeathed you.

Awesome that it's still up! I think mine will stay up unless it's removed as it's as close to the platform as I can get without being on ctv. It was ambitious for you to go there for your first throwie lol

I remember getting a throwie up in a chill ass spot in the middle of the day feeling good about it until someone went over it a week later. Figures though it was kinda shit in an easy spot.

Got you noticed though and said 'you have arrived!' - better than having an immaculate throwie in a spot people never see

Finally got to the point i wanted to do my first throwie, slammed a few beers and hit a spot that's on a busy bike road. Since it was pretty late at night I figured not allot of peeps would pass by. Got there get my cans out and the valve of my chrome can got stuck for some reason. One-lined the outline and fill. Some passers-by later it looked like shit. Try to get the cap of my can and got a mini explosion of chrome paint all over the goddamn place. My shoes, fannypack all covered in chrome. Good fun and it's still up.
