A collaborative piece I made with my SEVS/AND homie PASC. He did the letters. I did the portrait and layout. The portrait is my niece, Zoe. The colors are the Trans flag, because the piece is about Trans pride. This means a lot to both of us, and we wanted to express that feeling of pride not only in the personage of the people who call themselves Trans or non-binary or whatever, but also our own pride in having them in our lives.

Thanks, it's procreate on Ipad Pro, tbh i still drew some letters in my daily sketchbook but no full pieces like this.

Thanks brother, always thought digital was sacrilegious in graffiti, but drawing on the ipad is too good/fun to not draw graff on haha

That splash piece is bonkers! If you ever wanna exchange lemme know, & I wonder if you can use photoshop like procreate at all.

I did this on photoshop today, gonna make it into a sticker.

Do you guys also have this problem? The idea that is in your head turn out differently in your sketch...I sketch 1-2 letters and come back the next day to finish it. Its driving me nuts sometimes. I know that it comes with time and practice. Also, do you guys have any good resources on social media that you follow or get your ideas from. Thanks in advance..here my recent sketch

First of... That looks good. Dont beat yourself up too much. It took me 35+ years to be able to start bringing my ideas to fruition. So, stay focused and practice. Also, take nibbles instead of chunks. Meaning, learn how to do one small thing at a time. Once you've mastered that, move on to the next phase.

Rule of thumb in art is to constantly jump around the page in order to keep consistency. So, for your next attempt, try and lay down the basic flow or idea of the whole piece at least, even if its not exactly how you imagined it. Next day, go back and revisit the sketch and start tightening things. That method should be used throughout every phase of your creation.

As far as the inspiration is concerned... There is an inspiration thread on this site which can help but, Ive found a plethora of amazing artists that I now follow on IG just by searching #Grafitti. Every person that has or will partake in the www.instagram.com/thetravelingblackbookproject was found that way.

    Hope that helps... Good luck
