I personally agree this thread is kinda lame though. alot of newer metalcore kids thinking certain stuff is hardcore but its really not. hey kids Go listen to some american nightmare, outbreak, gorilla biscuits, 25 ta life, atleast listen to some older stuff maybe even before that. Or maybe even some NY and NJ hardcore acts like Agnostic Front, Madball, NJ bloodline, Everybody gets hurt, Irate, earlier Sworn enemy, Shattered Realm. and even some of those bands have alot of metal influinces. then youll understand when I say stuff like cdc and built upon frustraion from pa or whatever are just metalcore beatdown acts. To whoever asks what hardcore really truly is, from my time of being into it, its not breaking emo kids faces or beating lame nu metal kids tromping into your scene liek they own it or to act as hard as you can. It is what it is and that is nothing at all, it is what you make it. Yeah I will admit some fads will come through the scene like thuggish outfits, older things like jerseys. But seriously, I think its more about ethical values, staying true to yourself, not selling out and when I say that I mean selling out to the new fads, the new cool things just because its easy to jump on the bandwaggon... You know whats more annoying than anything else in the world, is kids saying "yeah I'm hardcore" and I'm serious when I say it doesnt work like that. thats the corniest shit ever. Its like a korn fan saying "yeah I'm a nu metal mall goth." Corny as fuck sounding right? Listen to what you want and like what you will thats whats nice about music, you dont have to BE somthing just to like it. Be yourself and dont conform just do as you please and things will work out for you. The douch bag kids will fall off faster than you think. oh yeah and hardcore has nothing to do with writing I dont think but I do enjoy both things.

out in SF we had the dyke march during pride and there was this pretty cool band that played no idea who they were but the place was total chaos i usual rock the pit pretty hard but i got beat down by these crazy butch lesbians shit i hit the floor like twice fuckin nuts
