do you have any facts or statistics to back this up? thats an icredibly ignorant thing to say, and it makes you sound 13. saying the news is all bullshit is a cop out; the news is slanted but they arent just "making things up" out of thin air, its up to you to sort out the bullshit from the factual, and anyone short of a retard can do that.

on what uhh... said a few pages ago, i very much agree for the most part. THINK before you guys just spout shit off about how evil democracy and the government is, but no, because its not cool to be a moderate...unless your a radical leftist theres no hip points in it. the one thing id disagree with is about conservatism not being closeminded, thats a blanket statement so its not totally true, but i think a pillar of the right wing has been an inability to change, and thats not good for anybody. right now your seeing the conservative movement losing alot of momentum (the last ten years) because of this.

It seems that people tend to think they know what they're talking about just because they watch conspiracy documentaries.

Ok enough. Like it or not, the US government is working just the way it is. All we need is a democrat president to get the country back on track. That is IT. If you are NOT in favor or BUSH, voting Mccaine is the worst thing you could possibly do. Therefore it stands to reason that the 70+% of the US that DOESN'T Like Geedubya, would vote Obama or Hilary, whoever wins the democratic vote.

HOWEVER, this is America. The United States. And I'm sorry but we are not a very smart country. We're, what, 37th in the actual educational standings of the world? Not everyone should even be ALLOWED to vote because the majority of US residents, are asscrack STUPID. Go anywhere southeast of New Mexico, into the backwoods, into any of the Red states, and tell me if these are the people you want having a say in your future, as a mentally capable human being. The answer is NO. That said, the majority of people who will vote for Mccaine in the upcoming election will do so SOULY because they agree with *some* of his ridiculous, ignorant ideas. It takes the mind of a semi-trained Jim Carrey stand-in to understand what will happen if we have four, or Satan forbid, eight more years of RED.

The same people who WERE in favor of Ron Paul will now shift their attention to Mccaine, even though he is the lesser of two evils..The majority of Ron Paul supporters were simply "Anti-war" and heard nothing else regarding his ideas, therefore gave him their full support. A lot of Ron Paul supporters aren't even AMERICAN, but wanted him in office, to further that point. EVEN THOUGH, if anyone took five seconds to consider his agenda, you'd notice he's APESHIT CRAZY. Anyway that was more of a rant, I'm just frustrated. I honestly think you should have to take some sort of test before being allowed to vote.

its almost funny...just how bad george w bush was for our country. ANY other republican looks great compared to what he's done, he makes mccaine look like noam chomsky. its amazing that after the last 8 years we could even consider another round of republican presidency, but i think we will for some reason, most of america just does not seem ready for a black or woman president.

Here's the problem with the Democrats: Once Bush leaves, what leg do you have to stand on? That seems to be their sole reason for existence these last few years, to oppose George Bush. Sure, the Republicans did that to Clinton in 1994. I know about wheel going 'round, yada yada yada. The point is, what are they going to piss and moan about once GW's term is up? When your platform consists of one plank, however solid you think that is, and suddenly your plank is gone, you're left standing on nothing.

Here's another problem with the Democrats: They have a woman running against a black man. The liberals are in such a tizzy that they don't know which group to please. Is it more important to let Obama be the first black president, or to let Hilary be the first woman president? Choices, choices...

Oh, look...here's another problem with the Democrats: That war that was going so badly for us in Iraq? It's not going so badly any more. And those strategies of George Bush's that would never work? They're actually paying off now. At least that's what the people with boots on the ground over there are saying. Yet every politician vying for the Democrat ticket keeps railing on about how mismanaged this war has been. But they don't seem to remember that wars don't wrap themselves up neatly in two years. It takes time. People serving over there say we're doing the right thing by being there. I've got friends, people that I served with when I was in the Army, serving over there. My sister-in-law has been deployed there three times. They all say we're helping, because they're told by Iraqis day after day that we're helping.

But why would we listen to people who are actually patrolling the streets, when we could listen to politicians who have visited the area once, maybe twice?

And another thing: I've seen people here saying they are choosing not to vote. Fine, but when people start whining about their elected officials, you'll have no basis to join in because you willingly gave up your right to participate in the process. It's like the little red hen...if you're not going to help bake the bread, then you're not going to help eat it.

If you don't vote, then you're an idiot, quite literally (in ancient Greece politics was such an important part of society that those who refused to participate were called "idiots").

Anyway, that's enough ranting for one night. Flame away.

I'm not saying, by the way, that the Republicans are perfect. I personally wanted Duncan Hunter from California to make it to the Primaries, but alas, I'm disappointed. McCain will do, though.

It's exactly what George Washington warned Congress about when he retired in 1797. In his farewell speech, he warned Congress not to split into a two-party system. He also warned them not to form long-term foreign alliances.

We've been in an alliance with Saudi Arabia (and dependent on their oil) since WW2. Just sharing. It's late, and I don't have to connect all the dots.

And yes, I know there's an edit button. I just figured a second post would break things up a bit. Call it "forum art."

its very difficult to argue about the war with those that have served, so let me begin by saying that i have nothing but respect for the troops and vets.

but i disagree with you about the war turning around. i think that the news over there has been so bad for so long that any sort of positive thing that comes out of iraq is blown out of proportion. look at any sort of public census survey, actually any surveys in general coming out of iraq, and you'll see that people there are much worse off than they were before 2003. and all those numbers are going up as well, by as much as 70% in some areas. iraq's suffering a health crisis right now that hasnt been seen since the forties, almost 70% of iraqi's say that their economic situation is worse now than it was pre-invasion. they've estimated that some 680 THOUSAND iraqi's have died as a result of this war, how can you defend this as success? did you guys hear john mccain's 100 year occupation statement? its pretty apparent that if he's elected there will be virtually no withdrawal plan. how do people not see the parallels to vietnam here?

    ...jsut thought id interject

the us was winning in vietnam for the longest...then we were blindsided by the tet offesive....we were blindsided becauae historically in that part of the world they didnt ever fight on the tet!...so all the GIs chilled and painted the town....got a little crunk too....then the vietcong attacked...and , well they caught us with our pants down.... when a reportrer heard of the massive causulties of the tet offensive he said"wow we are losing horribly in vietnam...what are we fighting for"...this onee opinon spread eventually many us citizens felt the same way...and the vietcong heard too....they kept fighting hoping hte us would pull out....and eventually we did....not because we were losing...but because the war was unpopular....

i see differences between the iraq war and the vietnam...vietnam was a war of containment ...iraq is a destroy and rebuild stick....iraq by its nature is gonna be alot harder than vietnam even was.....

i hardly ever hear good news from iraq....only on fox ....but as soon as some soldiers get hit by an ied ....cnn knows whats up.....

how is america not ready for a black or woman? in iowa didnt thier caucus vote something like 70% barack? haha we have more minorities in the bush administration than the clinton.....how are we not ready....i quite frankly know for a fact of no peop.le who would go to the polls and say ..."are they a dishwasher or a fieldhand?" none.....( black racists tho thats something entirey different...)

and i live in the south....

the idea that because of a "bad" republican president we need a democrat...is.....just dumb.....its like some one saying...."aww man those bloods fucked our neighborhood up,...bring in some crips theyll fix this shit...." vote for the right guy not the party...because parties are really really bad for america....anyone with sense sees that...and anyone who clings to the "IMA DEMOCRAT IMA DEMOCRAT" or " IMA A REPUBLICAN IMA REPUBLICAN" is ridiculouos....everyone has stuff thier liberal about and stuff their conservative about....so to subscribe to one side for everything....just wow...

Yo "ugh" thats some truth, and a lot of ignorant teenagers will try to say bush admin. is racist. And youre very right about the party system. Barack Hussein BinLadin has been very well accepted by white america, i think that white on black racism in america is very exagerated and many black activists go out of their way to look for it where it doesn't exist. But as you can see in the link below true racism is right in front of us.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pxhx4d-w0k

^for people from my area (MD, DC, VA, DE PA) check it out...its a clip from a documentary with Baltimore Skinheads Crew (MDS). You should be aware of whats building up in a seemingly tolerant area. This is the dark underbelly of baltimore. I heard these crazy shits tossed a anti-racist skin down a flight of stairs at some punk concert last year.
im not a racist, as i dont think i even need to point out, but i dont see how "Neo-Nazism" is any worse than black islam or black panther kind of groups. theyre just based on a group that actually almost take over the world.

    yeah pg...

see lately somethings been buggin me....it seems like people are not ...acting reasonably...like for example...everyone remembers the riots in parisian suburbs last summer or two summers ago...the news went all politically correct and was like..."angry youth riots" when it was actually muslim immigrants rioting..im not gonna say exclusivly but the majority were muslim yuoth ...and the media starts spouting "we need more police in these commuinities mor programs for the youth more money more this more that..." and it completely avoided why the youth were rioting..(they felt like outcasts with absolutely no country of thier own..plus they had no jobs so lots of free time )..then u had the other reaction which was....and this is not a pleasant thing to say but it was the reaction....."kill all muslims! deport arrest quarintine!" and it stoked the flames of fascist movements all over europe....

and as a normal person your thinking..."well do i go for the guys who will send us into anarchy and then a oligarchy...or do we try the whole facsism shit again....." its like noone will jsut stop and say were pissed come and talk to us...and if they do it lots of times ends iin blows...

it seems everyone is getting pushed further and further everyday...adn im worried cause eventually the shit alaways hits the fan...

am i making shit up?or is this really a problem?

Yea there is a reason my name is ignorant youth...but still you have to admit alot of the people in are country are still ignorant to the fact that the news is bullshit and ignorant in general. and im not preaching I just tend to get one thing on my mind and just talk about that. everyone has thier said thier view you know im not claiming I know whats right or wrong for the country. All I know is for as long as I can remember which isnt very long I have known thats things arent like they should be and all I can do is learn all I can and do what I can even if thats just trying to make people realize that things arent all well because yea you might all see that but when I just talk to normal people they dont see it. zeitgeist isnt my bible but the facts for some of the things in there are eye openers and mind openers. so in the end its really not that ignorant to say that the majority of people are blind to whats true and false in the news. it may be sad but its the truth.

There really isn't much to know, so don't go around getting in the government's business like there is some truth to find out. There's a reason that shit isn't exposed to us it keeps the dumb fucks in line. Just wait til we go into another depression than people like myself will tell everyone some bullshit political idea and then slowly form a complete Dictatorship.
No one deserves any power you gotta take it.
not sure if that shit makes sense but yeah

Hey I'm not that informed on politics, religion is my forte..Buuut in my own defense...

Comparing bloods and crips to democrats and republicans is completely indifferent. Apples and oranges. Crips and Bloods are GANGS, they kill people. Do bad stuff.

Democrats and Republicans are political parties. In order to compare the two, you have to be assured that they're both the same thing. Democrats and republicans don't run drugs (officially) and shoot people (themselves). They think they're actually doing something right. Bloods and Crips are essentially the same thing. Both gangs. neither differ in any major ways. It's not like one considers shooting the better idea and the other is all about shanks. They don't differ.

It doesn't matter what you have to say about the parties, it doesn't matter if you say "we shouldn't edorse any party because they're both bad'. They're STILL gonna be there and they're STILL gonna be running. It's not like saying "Parties are bad!" is going to make everyone abandon their left and right wing views. When it comes down to it, it's about who you agree with more. The left, the right, or the seperate parties. But it always comes down to red vs blue. And you HAVE to take a side if you want to make any difference. So I choose the democratic side, considering i agree with MORE democratic views than republican views (which I agree with on almost nothing). You work with what you have to work with, not pretending you have other options.
