what the fuck man 9th wonder uses a mpc and other. i guess if he uses FL he must use other sounds than the stock ones.
I got mine for 199usd from zzounds. it came with reason adapted(which is like reason but for the korg kontrol pad specifically, i use reason 4 though) and it came with some software i didnt get to use yet called: live lite 6 korg edition lounge lizard session ultra analog session painoteq lite korg edition m1le dun even know what those do to be honest. I also know the padkontrol is compatible with fl even though I never tried it, I have seen videos on youtube about it though. also it came with 30 pre-loadable scenes and one is specifically made for fl. also the features that make worth the extra 100 dollars: it has versatility, with the xy pad you can change speed and tempo while your recording, and even though it is corny you can simulate scratch sounds if you get the right sounds and move your finger in an infinity pattern. also you can save up to 16 scenes, and then mix and match each one of those scenes and make a custom one, or just make em all custom ones to begin with. So in english, you can assign pieces of a sample to certain keys and then play them however you want by just pounding on it. or if you like certain drum sounds but not others, you can change it out. The two knobs at the top are good depending on how they are assigned in the program your using. fading, speeding things up, or playing on higher frequencies are all easier cuz of the knobs. however it seems knob 2 only does volume for me im happy i got it instead of the akai, becuase since it has so many more features that means even as i get better i wont need to run out and buy and new toy since this one has so many things you can do. hope that answered your questions. i dont have any experience with this shit either, but like everyone here keeps saying, just practice i suppose and then the rest comes natural. on a lighter note, i,like, using, commas.
haha, sweet dude, thats some good info there, ill be sure to keep those things in mind also, the xy pad does look really cool, im sure you could get some craaaazzy effects out of it. anyways, ill probably get some more of my shitty music up here some time, and btw i, like, commas, too
Made this using fl studio and audacity, It the first mix that I actually like how it turned out. Could I get some feedback on this, thanks,, http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NXDIV4FH
Bumpski These were all made with only fruityloops. I never use any of the shit that comes with it, I've got hundreds of VST's and samples that were all used in these songs.
most likley gettin reason and cubics, to make drum and bass/jungle, we'll see how it goes in a few months.
i sat down earlier today and improted the lowest c-b notes on my casios bass line into my mpc, then broke those notes down chanign the tunning to make 2 octaves of each blues scale from c-b, now i can play all the dnb i want using only my mpc
oh...fuckin awesome. I was just asking in another thread if anyone listens to Drum & Bass. I have Numark turntables, and alot of hip hop and drum and bass vinyls I havent been using them for long, so I'm starting out with just making mix sets and shit..
got some stanton digital decks few months back, started recording trumpet samples through my fucking headphones. i'm feeling the jazz breaks and lounge right now. but you know music tastes and preferrences always change. if i had a laptop and a soundcard to record onto id post my shit. I was using FL7 for a while before i got my decks and that shit is alright, but i think it's way to techno orientated. if you get your samples i guess it's alright. my favorite was reason for the drumkits.
My brother makes DrumnBass, and he uses Reason 7.0 It's so insane. It was like 500 bucks, maybe 400? or more I don't remember. but It's mad good. Love the Bass possibilities on it.
this is true. this is true. haha I coulda sworn I posted something about Hazards new tune Machete. insanely awesome song. I suggest you check it http://youtube.com/watch?v=mLJ6hwsq624the goods.
I have FL and shit, and I try every once and a while, but I'm better with making sets on Turntables....................
you guys are all talking about recording. what kind of soundcards are you using? What kind of equipment are you using to hook up your decks to the computer to record? i just want to find a cheap RCA to USB soundcard or some shit. any thoughts?
