I am not totally sure....But I can remember speaking to Wombat about this years ago....STRETCH & AXLE were if not the first very early in the Boston graffiti movement..I'm pretty sure there were tags on the Old Boston Garden dated from '77....I smoke alot of pot so I could be mistaken....If anyone has anymore info definitely share.....

Truth.....This is not a popularity contest....Too many kid's around here are worried about being liked or being put down with some crew....Or there on some, I don't like so & so because so & so doesn't like him....Straight open toe sandal shit....

 

And yo CNUE one of the main traits of the classic "Boston Style" is no negative space in the piece....Your letters should look like a chunk or a mass with no holes in the middle...Alert basically runs that style; he is a perfect person to look at....He was also VERY influential in the handstyle department around here....I would love to see those simple handstlyes come back to Boston....Way more original...
