being completely honest, the first place sketch reminds me of a sketch bates has on his webpage. i couldn't think of where it was til now... i love dies work, and there were quite a few others that i think were more original.
damn.... if i knew how bates would judge i would probably have gotten somewhere with this battle......
maybe its easier to say because its already been judged, but the majority of bates' stuff is simple. So thats what he digs. If you got like T-Kid judging then of course you would go more wild.
