True da. just a thought that popped in my head . speaking of which i found the best brushes at lowed the other day. theyre like 4 inches big and have nylon hairs. its an exterior brush for painting houses, its worked like a charm so far, but kind of akward to fit into my stealth getup(44 oz cup)
64 ounce cup! problem solved. haha. I use small dust pan brooms with synthetic hairs when I'm taking my time. If I'm on the street, I still just use my hands tho. I just put up another couple posters but don't have flicks yet. They were placed in a legal alley so I took my time and collaged stencils around them. Turned out pretty cool. I also tried Teknabond wallpaper paste again and it worked great! I had lost hope on that stuff years ago, but I think it's a matter of mixing it right and taking enough time to get your poster thoroughly saturated and rubbed to the wall. It rained hard half an hour after I put one up, and it's still securely fastened. I might switch over comepletely. Indigo- we should do a 1 poster swap. I'll get you up in the legal alley here. It's pretty dope. (Sorry, I don't get anybody but crew up illegally. I always get asked to put other peoples shit up in heat spots. haha)
if you really want to go all-out-bombing, you can use a shopping bag.(plastic) just make sure its a dark color, and no holes in the bottom (obv.), fill er with paste, and throw your brush in.
haha. try jumping a fence with a bag of paste. I jumped a fence with a milk jug.....The fence won. The jug did not.
Sure, I'm down. Workin on some new stencils this weekend. Legal walls are fine with me. PM me with your addy and I'll send you a poster. I'll put yours up in a good spot. Unfortunately there are no legal walls here but I'll try and find someplace where it'll last.
i second this method. it works pretty good for small posters (8x10) . i just tried it with sucess. got alittle bit on my hands tho. now my hands smell like raspberries.
Yeah, i started rocking the 64 ounce ones, and cezr, have you ever used golden harvest wall paper paste? I heard thats what obey uses for his shit, or used to anyway. thats the only paste i can find around here, i havent even heard of the shit your talking about. haha.
new 1 layer for the street I am playing with a different style, intentional underspray and paint splatters for a kinda fuzzy, soft look. when I sprayed it like I normally would the shadows looked too jagged and harsh. c/c?
hey my wheat paste after it dryed on the wall got all flakey and what not ... help did i mix wrongly ???
[Broken External Image]:http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/7200/picture1fx2.png does this mean white glue diluted with half water is equally as strong as wheat paste? INDIGO: looking really cool; I noticed in the red one you did the under spray on part of it. I would recommend doing that on all of the jaded shadows such as the top left shoulder blade. OBSERVER, just look up another recipe
yeah I was trying to get more underspray but the stencil wasn't lifted enough in some parts. Still want a clear edge on the outside of the image though, and having difficulties getting both at the same time.
Indigo I like the stuff. It gives it kind of a distorted look ( kinda like if you were looking at it through a heatwave) idk how to explain it. but it looks pretty sweet .
thanks - I think I know what you mean Check the street art thread for some new flicks of these up in the street
These are all in a legal area. The downside to legal area's is if you can put shit up without fear of arrest, you can also tear shit down the same and alot of people like to go through there and just fuck stuff up. I had to re attatch this guys head a couple hours after I put him up. I haven't put up the Atmosphere lyrics yet. That goes up Monday.
