At the NY Comic Con on April 18 we launched an original Sci-Fi superhero Comic Book series called "New-Gen," that's being distributed through Marvel Comics. (http://www.new-gen.info/). why is everything always in fucking America They always have to have EVERYTHING. Why no competitions to win things for people out of AMERICA this goes for the battles on here where you win $ discount cards and shit. so if you dont live in America and you enter a comp and win..you wont get your prize cos they dont ship out.

New-Gen first off, sorry to the non-americans who wanted to participate. the reality is theres a lot of logistical stuff involved in opening comps like this up to people overseas, much of which i dont understand. to everyone else who has shown interest in putting pen to paper for this contest i would only say that you should check out the website http://www.new-gen.info/ and read up about the guidelines under the contest section. in a nutshell the contest is about drawing a superhero or villain who has powers derived from his or her manipulation of nanotechnology. with the drawing, be sure to do a short write up of what powers the character actually does possess and what weaknesses they may have. thanks for dropping some talent on this -Adrian

haha how did something being said about europeans become a comment about the black folk question about the comic book now ...the characters that are on the new-gen page ...are these characters that are already in the book and we just need to design up a new one??? and i noticed the style of those chars (if all included in the book already) have ALOT in common in regards to the style and outfits ...are we supposed to create a char that would fit in with them or is something completely random wanted here??? and most of them look like good guys? are you looking for another good guy, bad guy, or both??? and i really hope someone submits something sweet because not to be mean or anything but i laughed when i saw what had already been entered and is up for voting i may have to agree with pusha with the fezat thing but then again i havent seen much comic style stuff from him ....just the cartoony chars included with his pieces which in my book are amazing as hell ....pusha should think of something cuz if anything he is the one with more of a comic style than anyone ive seen on here so far so now im gunna go and try to draw something as sweet as the anime monkeys already submitted to see what i can come up with .....hahaaaaaaaaaaaa

there are some shit entrys plus the comic doesnt realy stand out to me n i cant see it being a hit so fuck it lol
New Gen ok, im gonna try and throw down some answers -the characters on the New-Gen website are the characters currently in the comic book. the first two issues of the comic book have been distributed nationwide by Mavel and are being given out for free as a promotion for the broader New-Gen world to come. the third issue is scheduled to come out next week. -as bring_the_MASe mentioned, a lot of the characters have a similar clothing style and overall look to them. although the characters you saw on the New-Gen website are either aligned to gabriel's side or sly's side, and as such have similar overall appearances, new characters that differ from this current framework are not entirely out of the question seeing as that this concept has limitless possibilities. -in terms of the characters' orientations to either gabriel or sly, think of them in the framework of charles xavier to the x-men. although many of them start out as his protectorates and students, they eventually grow in both age and power to become more like his equal and partner in a common cause.
i think if you make the characters on gabes side start to look more dirty n maby change theyr names cos theyr a bit well gay ... make it more of a hardcore violent thing so it stands out from marvels normal ish dont be scared of a bit of nudeness and blood and gore.. ultimate xmen was alright infact
also diamon shouldnt have the suit on when his in diamond for make him like full on diamon n id alter the twins
I ran out of space -as far as nanotechnology is concerned and how your characters' powers should be derived from it, check out the information on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanotechnology. more specifically look over the information about the aplications of nanotechnology in areas of biomedical research, then let your imagination take you for a ride. although this is just an art contest for a comic book the concepts and ideas being presented here are very much the wave of the future. the real world ramifications of nanotechnology are ridiculous and is currently a multi-billion dollar industry. i let it speak for itself. -lastly, i should hope that whomever im speaking to on this site would consider themselves more than qualified to participate in this contest and would want to take the opportunity to win some great prizes and get some broader recognition, esspecially when a name like Marvel is involved.
