Does anyone know if there are any writers that have been around and have never been arrested? Separate question but... I don't understand how some people show there face and people know there real name (ex. cope) yet the continue to get up?
I want to get into Canvas's and i want to use paint and get some nice colors going...anyone know what kind of paint i should buy, brushes, or techniques. Link and any information greatly appreciated!!
ehhhh... can you slim that down for me? You want to use aerosol right? Or like aerosol and markers? OR WHAAAAAAT. ANYTHING? OIL? Acrylic? To be honest, I think it's all preference, what you enjoy painting with and what type of project you're going for(what look you're going for--- what the project calls for). Test some tools out on a little part of canvas ( i dont mean the canvas you're going to use---- use some canvas that's not stretched maybe), play around with it, that's my tip.
yeah i guess ill use spray paint and paint markers like thats what i thught originally...ive just heard of people using paint or w/e but thanks for the reply...i kinda also wanted a link to an actual paint o can buy that people have used and it worked for them...
what do those crew numbers mean like when peple on here say i rep 450 crew and 605 writers pm me and stuff what do those numbers mean. ive seen in my town 3 stop signs that say 604 if thats a crew or somthin
Could be a few things, #1 Area code, some states are bigger then others or share the same one, so it makes it easier to understand where you live. #2 Some crew names are literally just numbers, for whatever their reason. #3 some crews/writers use street numbers.
1.how can people legally do graffiti. i looked in a book and it said something about legal graffiti vs. illegal graffiti. is there some other reason besides business purposes/decoration 2.will the caps that come with ironlak cans work for outlines? 3.how can i go bombing without my parents knowing?
1.there are legal walls and permission walls 2. if it works for you 3. sneak out and keep your paint hidden under your bed
ask some homiesss in the canvas thread for specifics... just pm them or something. Just saying, for aerosol I'd use Belton, and for the paint markers... I know people usually use the skinny type like decos or sharpie paint markers. But I've never done canvas... well for graffiti at least, you should ask around some more.
I have a question, Seriously so everyone answer seriously, Not that I want to join these crews or anything(becuase to be completly honest I dont, even thought I admire their work a great amount and think they are some of the best graffiti artists out there) but how do writers get into crews like awr msk. Like how do they go about putting people in it(by in it I mean like saying go write msk awr near all your stuff). Becuase just out of curiousity, like some dudes I see who rep awr msk are really good, and others lets just say are more bombers and stuff if you know what I mean. Not like theres anything wrong with bombing its just that I've seen people who write and they paint peices and are pretty descent and want to be in that crew but dont get in. And those peoples talent with graff is mad high and better than some of the guys already in the crews so I was just wondering if someone could deeply explain that to me like whats going on. I'm just seriously interested in whats going on with this becuase i've seen stuff like this happen with writers I've seen who want to be in it but are'nt/ A lenthgy explanation by anyone who confidently knows what there talking about would be great becuase i've always been really interested in this question. I got a question... Some shmuck decided to scribble all over a hardware store truck in my town. And when I say scribble, I mean it - just random streaks of spray - for shits and giggles. I may be a toy, but I know just randomly spraying a truck is just lame. Out of the blue, a fella I know who works at this hardware store thinks I did it. I've never once purchased spray from there (too risky - small town, ya know), nor have I even told anyone connected to this guy about my interest in graf (only one person knows, my closest and best childhood friend, who writes as well). The only reason this guy thinks that I did it, is because he knows I'm an artist and a painter. Now he's got some members of the town thinking I scribbled the truck, and I think he has even told the police to keep an eye on me. Every so often, patrol cars drive by my work-place real slow, and even by my house some nights. I'm much more meticulous in keeping my graf interest quiet, and even more thorough in hiding my supplies and blackbooks. How this guy came to think it was me, was just pure chance... and the fact that I write anyway, just makes it worse. I work hard to hide it all, and to have my cover blown by pure coincidence really bothers me. I'm gonna wait until all this cools down. But what else should I do?
Bomb the shit out of that motherfuckers store. That snitch thinks its his fucking buisness to call the po and keep an eye on you? Break his windows, fuck that shit up Or...If you want to be sensible, go talk to the guy man to man, say you know he's suspicious but your an artists not a vandal... sounds like your better than me with keeping your graffiti quiet. Someone once told me if you didn't do the crime then don't trip, there's no way in hell he can say you did it if the fact of the matter is you didn't. So what if he's the stereotypical, making assumptions type of guy, I have a story similar to this one it happened in a hardware store. This one lady would always give me the evil eye whenever I would buy paint suspecting that I did some shit(true story). You know you can sue assholes like that for making false assumptions and accusations. What that guys doing to you is a crime in and of itself. DO what ever you want and don't worry about him. Sounds like an asshole who isn't rational and just wants a fight.
