well the thing about silicone is its awesome for well heald ears if there was any residual tears from the last stretch then you ears gonna act funky as hell and yes you can stretch now my best advice is get SS single flared tunnels for every stretch that way you dont have to worry about stretching bigger to fit over the flare on double flares. and the reason why you ss tunnels smell like pure goat ass is because the dead skin cells and body oils just sit in there and rot. dont take it personal though since everyones do it. when you get to your final size invest in some nice wood or organic plugs and they will absorb that gross ass shit. also go a head with those oils and massage those ear lobes now if everything is cleared up you lobes will thank you

try those lobe massages for a while and if you use the vitamin e oil then it will help the skin as well as cutting down on the ear funk. and yeah its a weird ass smell every one i know with stretched lobes has it and no one can really pin the scent down its just gross dead ass scent

yeah, silicone is the last thing you want in unhealed ears.
definitely go for surgical steel, nothing goes wrong with that shit.
do not stretch with acrylic either, strictly metal, or organic shit like bone and wood.
    happy stretching.

Update: I got my left ear to 2 inches, but sadly my left is about a mm behind.

ive always found that glass is way more comfortable than metal when stretching.
is that just me, or does anyone else use glass to stretch?

Never stretch with bone or wood! It's pretty much the same as stretching with silicone, your ear can grow to the jewelry and then you're really fucked.

I've found the single flare Industrial Strength steel jewlery to be some of the best ive ever worn, especially when my ears were pissed.

    you don't do it yourself?

and I also plan on having mine for the rest of my life, but you can just have the excess lobe chopped off.

that is litterally the weirdest taper ive ever seen normally they dont have that huge disc on it so you can follow the taper with with the jewelry just like a needle

and on the lobe reconstruction there are different ways to do it. ive seen the fistula cut out and the lobe sewn together and ive seen just the excess skin cut off and the base of the lobe reshaped but thats only in the case of excessively stretched ears

It is not a taper, it is a stretcher...
    It is like jewelry...

You put it in... to stretch for example from 1.6 to 2.4...
So you put one in and let it in for a week (sometimes more or less..)
and then go on onto a bigger one..
Until you get to the size you want..

Why use tapers? they are bigger and fall out more easily..

You don't leave a taper in, homie.
You put the taper in first then feed your jewelry in.
Or (not in your case) save yourself some cash and just stick the bigger jewelry in.

    I know..
I just though that you use a taper..

I put this stretching nail in(always bigger) and then when I go to bigger
I give it back to my piercer (she then autoclaves it..)

I really save myself much money, because I did not pay a cent so far..
I had a 1.2mm hole and now I`m just changing to bigger and bigger stretchers..TOTALLY FOR FREE ;)

    Untill I reach 8mm or 1 cm..

over in my neck of the woods its waaaaaaaay against regulations to allow any needle, taper, or anything really to leave the studio or autoclave room. and then to have it brought back is entirely out of the question.
